Overall our course in college is excellent when compared to other branches or streams. We have great faculties who have done their masters. It's not much difficult to pass the exams but needs lots of effort to score pretty good marks.

Acharya is known for its stunning infrastructure and great shooting spot. If you look into the academic section, it depends on different departments. I am studying ISE, where the facilities have a fine impart of knowledge. Other departments like Mechanical, E&E, BT, and Mechatronics are average on the teaching scale. There is scope for extra-curricular activities but not on large scale. And the most important 'Acharya Habba', a very lavishly celebrated college fest.

In our ISE department, the faculty is very friendly and supportive of the students. And they will teach in detail in the way the students understand. The faculty will support students during exam time.

I felt this was an interesting course which made me choose it. The student and teacher ratio is around 20:1. It was not difficult to pass the term exams. Term exams are once every six months. Faculty members are good there teaching methods are good.
I chose this course because placement is quite a bit good in this college for information science. The faculty is very experienced. They can teach you that much so you can pass the VTU exam. Colleges internal were quite easy but external exams were quite hard and their evaluation is also hard.
One of my seniors graduated from the IS branch of Acharya Institutes. He has seen a considerable number of students quit because they had complaints regarding the non-payment of their salaries. They looked for better opportunities in other colleges. He did not find anything better about the department apart from the HOD and a few other lecturers.
If you are looking for employment in companies that are service-based, you will most likely get placements. If you are looking for help and motivation from your peers or faculty, you will probably be disappointed. My senior and a lot of his peers got little to no help with the same, including research activities. My senior suggests that you should choose ISE at Acharya only when you do not much have many choices and/or if you have a low rank.
One of my friends got into the Acharya Institute of Technology for the Information Science Engineering course through the management quota. Interestingly, I was also looking up some decent colleges for Engineering in Karnataka for my sister, so I might be able to help you with your question.
I would further be mentioning certain situations or circumstances that you might face ahead. These can be:
Under circumstances similar or closer to these, you can think about pursuing it or securing otherwise. The choice is entirely yours.
