- Candidates will have to first submit the application form to the Registrar SMU/ Head of Department/ Head of Institute.
- Candidates will then have to contact the Head of the Department/ Head of the Institute where the Ph.D. work is planned to take place.
- Candidates will then have to present their research protocol to the Research Protocol Evaluation Committee (RPEC) at the Department/ Institute.
- Candidates have to modify their research protocol as recommended by the RPEC if needed.
- Candidates will then have to submit the research protocol to the Registrar of SMU if it has been approved by the RPEC.
- Then candidates will have to present their research protocol to the Research Protocol Committee.
- Modifications should be done as recommended by the University Research Committee if needed.
- Candidates will have to resubmit the research protocol to the Registrar of SMU.
- Confirmation of Registration will be given on passing Ph.D. Entrance Exam or UGC/CSIR(JRF)/GATE/SLET/NET.

I opted for this college through Sikkim state counseling, Application fees was 1500 on the day of college counseling. college conducts its own internal councelling. I got through state quota so 75% of total course fees is paid by the Government of Sikkim. Admission process is transparent.
Remarks:
There was no factors as such, we were alloted the college depending on our marks and reservations by sikkim govt. itself. However, talking about the college,our college is nice both academically and extra curicular activities wise as well. And as for opting this course is because it was and is that I have always aspired to become a good doctor.

To get admission for Mbbs you have to qualify NEET examination and for BPT to you have scored 50% in the best of three in your 12th examination. You will get the application form on the university site and after that, you will be shortlisted for the admission process where you have to submit your details.

After clearing NEET PG exam cut off marks, apply online by filling form with application fees. Forms are available after NEET PG result out, on the official website of the college. Several merit list to go through to fill up the 50 general seats, and there are also other 50 seats consisting of local quota for people of Sikkim, and NorthEast quota for other 6 States of N.E. India.

First you need to pass NEET and then apply for the seat in the college. There after the admission is purely done on the basis of merit.Although there is some reservations to different categories like north east category, management quota, Sikkim state quota, army quota.

My overall experience in the campus is quite good. According to me, there are some aspects on which the college can work upon or should improve. Gender discrimination in case of curfews should be taken care of. The college should provide a good platform for the student-alumni interaction. Food quality could do with a lot of improvement.
