Remarks :

The overall experience has been satisfactory. Wish there were more facilities for finding our inner talents and spending time on our hobbies. The study burden is as expected of a medical college.

Entrance Preview :

I passed my state CET with 20th rank and was assigned this college. There was no interview process and being a doctor has dream ever since, so choosing MBBS was was the next logical choice.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Practical learning is given utmost importance out here. There are various research initiatives taken by the students under MCIR. There are no particular electives as such.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes there is an internship program that lasts for a year. Avg stipend amt=Rs.8000.

College Events :

There are events year round ranging from cultural fest to AURA to academic fest and cmes. They are fairly big and the budget is provided by the college authorities.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Well the fee structure differs based on the type of admission you have undergone. For me the annual fee including hostel fees=Rs.398500

Campus Life :

Well there are facilities for various sports and extracurriculars.

Hostel Facilities :

I'm currently staying in hostel. One room is shared by 3 people and it comes with an attached bathroom and kitchen. The fee is Rs. 27500 for the room and around Rs. 70000 for mess. The food is so-so.

Alumni/Alumna :

There is a college website with the list of alumni but there has been no contact as such.

Exam Structure :

It was neither too tiring nor very chill. Classes start at 8 in the morning and end around 4 inter evening with enough time for rest and lunch.

Faculty :

The teaching fault are amply qualified and are easily approachable. The level of interaction depend upon n the forwardness of the student and hence is variable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS was always my dream course. SMIMS has the highest faculty: student ratio as much as I have read about. All the faculties have specialization in their field, Mostly MD, DM, Ph.D., and also MBBS. We usually have 2 sessional exams, 1 pre-University and 1 University exam in a year, and many small formative assessments and tests throughout the year. It is quite easy to pass those exams if one is really dedicated to studies.

My overall experience in the campus is quite good. According to me, there are some aspects on which the college can work upon or should improve. Gender discrimination in case of curfews should be taken care of. The college should provide a good platform for the student-alumni interaction. Food quality could do with a lot of improvement.
