Placement:

Medical schools visit a lot, as do companies, for hiring events. Grady Hospital and Emory go a lot to recruit.

It’s near my home and accepts all my AP scores. It also accepted the Hope Scholarship in my state. It has been very good, I’ve been able to grow a lot and even be a lab teaching assistant! I am also very involved in the club and am on several executive boards!

Georgia State University has a downtown campus and there are both upsides and downsides to it. The upsides include good job opportunities while the downsides are less security and less University vibes. I don't have much information regarding this as I am a freshman but from what I have heard and the reputation of the university, there are good placements in computer science and the average starting salary for most of the people who complete their undergrad is around 80 to 90 thousand dollars. Atlanta is kind of Tech city with many tech companies like Google Microsoft NCR having their offices in downtown so I would say from placement perspective, Georgia state university is quite good and since it is located near to Georgia Tech, many employers even visit Georgia State University whenever they visit Georgia Tech.

At Georgia State University there are many accommodation options, the accommodation options provide many different options and their price vary according to the options you select. There are shared room as well as private room available and there is also apartments style accommodation available where you have kitchen while there are also options for Dorm style accommodation. The price varies from accommodation to accommodation but one can expect around $1,500 per month for accommodation which also includes food I am living off campus from the beginning of my undergrad journey. Atlanta is quite affordable, even in downtown you can get a two bedroom two bathroom apartment for $1800 to $2,000 which can be shared between four people and after utilities it comes around $550.

It's very average, but with extra circulars, I feel I can boost myself. They have companies that visit and recruit from the college, but I feel I would be a more well rounded if I did studies outside of college as well.

I was a transfer student from a community college in Dunwoody, GA and my current university owns the campus I use to be at, so when I applied to transfer it was quite easy and also at my other campus I had already completed two years of my major.

Placement:

There is a lot happening around the campus all the time. You have plenty of job fairs and company Orientations. You also have a dedicated career center and a thing known as college to career incorporated in the curriculum. Last month there was a massive job fair where more than 500 companies including too tech companies participated.The placement process is smooth and you get a a pretty good salary as per your major which in case of computer science is around 70-80 thousand USD per year.

Internship:

I am currently working for CETL@GSU. It's an on-campus job under the tech department. They pay me around $10 an hour and international students are allowed to work for a maximum of 20 hours a week so the stipend among varies anywhere around 740-770 a month after taxes depending on the hours that you get.
