The mission of the School of Music is to provide a comprehensive, rigorous, and innovative academic program that is consistent with the urban context and mission of Georgia State University and that serves the pursuit of artistic, professional, and scholarly excellence through experiences of lasting value for all stakeholders.
The program balances the development of artistic and creative skills with the mastery of technical skills, achieved through course work and a culminating internship. Applicants should have a strong background in music reading and performance. An audition is required for admission.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Students must hold a senior secondary school degree from a recognized university.
- The minimum science and program GPA needed to apply is 3.30.
- Submission of IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE scores is required.
