Placement:

I am a sophomore, so I haven’t gone through the placement process myself. However, I can highlight the process. IU, especially Kelley hosts various company fairs of companies like Deloitte, PWC, EY and many more. Students have the opportunity to interact with people from this very company and create a relationship with their representatives. Unlike the Indian system, where an interview is created on the spot for students, here, students have to impress the company representative with their skills on the spot in terms of an informal conversation and land an interview at a later stage. Kelly Students have a good track record of working at high level companies in the US finance sector!

Internship:

I haven’t yet! I will be applying for an internship in the summer of 2025.

Placement:

Finding a job is basically an individual process. There are career services to help, but people usually use networking through websites like LinkedIn, Indeed, handshake. Companies visited are service based companies, consultancies, Tech companies, Research companies. The placement rate largely varies each year based on economy, international policies for immigrants but it's pretty decent overall. Median salaries for tech jobs are around $85k-$90k, with higher ends around $150k.

Internship:

No, I did a faculty assistance fellowship instead of summer internship.

Placement:

The post-study placement rate is 92% for my program and most students go on to pursue higher education at the same university as well. There a lot of different companies that visit our campus, but the top 2 hiring companies are EY and Deloitte. The median salary is around $65,000.

Internship:

Yes, I have done an internship at Moody National Bank as a credit analyst intern in the summer of 2022. The salary was $15 per hour and it was a 10 week internship. I got this internship opportunity due to the my families connections. I was introduced to them by a mutual friend and them gave two rounds of interview to get the internship.

Placement:

In the business school, there’s a close to 100% placement rate for jobs right after graduation. Lots of students will either go for their MBA or straight for a job and either way every student has a secure future after undergrad. Lots of big companies like Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, etc will visit the school and host events for students to learn more about opportunities and network with employees. I believe the median annual salary for business school students is around 90000 USD.

Internship:

So far, I have only done one finance and business experience internship at Bashpole Software Inc. It was an unpaid internship and virtual. I had to apply and do one interview before receiving the offer.

Placement:

There are a lot of career services provided by the university to make sure professional development as well. The average salary is about $75,000 after the under graduation.

Internship:

I haven't opted for an internship yet and will do so in my junior year.

Placement:

Placement opportunities are really great at IU. I’m more aware of research opportunities though. Many of IU graduates get a post doctoral position at top ranked universities like MIT, Stanford, Princeton, Cornell, etc. Opportunities in other countries like Canada, Germany, UK, France, Switzerland, etc. are also bright.

I chose to this university because it has great faculty working in the area of my interest (Functional Analysis and Operator Theory). At IIT Delhi, we follow books written by authors that have worked/studied at Indiana University. In fact, my current supervisor (Prof. Hari Bercovici) at IU was my top choice because I was inspired by a book written by him. His research credentials are amazing and that’s what matters the most in PhD. The university’s math department ranks 34 and it’s situated in Bloomington which is a very pleasant place to live. I also had offers from - University of Oregon, University of California (Davis) and NYU(unfunded).

Placement:

The post-graduation prospect for most students from the business school is excellent. Many people I am familiar with getting jobs at companies such as PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and other big firms. My school does exceptionally well for students who want to get placed anywhere in the midwest and east coast areas.

I chose Indiana University because I loved the campus and the location of Bloomington. I also chose Indiana University because they're psychology program is well known and I knew I'd be able to succeed.
