From the very beginning, I had a keen interest in anchoring and wanted to become a sports anchor. Especially, a cricket anchor which is the very reason I chose this course. My faculty had two guest lecturers and three full-time lecturers. They all had Ph.D. qualifications.
I like to about literature. The faculty is very good. We have 8-10 professors in our department and 60 students. Almost everyone is phd holder. There isn't much gap between exams and difficulty levels alright.
I did my graduation in English and I wasn't satisfied with that. I wanted to learn more about my subject so I chose to pursue my Master's in English as well. At Xavier's, the faculties have great qualifications. They are all highly qualified and experienced. They know their subject/topic, really well and they can deliver it to the students with equal interest as well. A time-to-time assessment is created to evaluate the progress of a student. According to my, this is a great way of helping us students have the knowledge we need for our subject and our degree. They are very strict with their attendance. A 75% attendance is a must to sit for the end-semester exams. There are 8 faculty members in our department, for a class strength of 40 students. The university has the option of smart class which has been really helpful and interesting so far. The classes are enjoyable as the professors sometimes use the form of media (movies, video clips) to make us understand the issue better.
the curriculum was one of the major reasons to join the university, which is self explanatory. The academic standards of the university were not compromised under any circumstances which meant we were expected to give our best always. the faculty was supportive and would guide us well in both curriculum and co curriculum activities.
A very detailed course with specialization from semester 3 helped students choose the exact field of study that they are interested in. There is pretty good industrial exposure. Facilities give time and attention to the students and guide them in every possible way. Starting from practicals to theory, there isn't any lack of guidance from the teachers. The course is filled with exciting assignments too.
The curricular is one of the things which needs to be improved by providing sufficient electives to the students which could benefit them even if they move towards the corporate field or stay in academics. The students should be given exposure to some basic software skills such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau which would not only help them in the corporate line but also help them improve there papers in various aspects.
Syllabus is more or less up-to-date. The delivery could have been better with better teachers. The visiting faculty were all very good. There was a limited industrial exposure initiated by the university.
The course syllabus is up to date with numerous exposures for the students that will help them in their future endeavours such as students who will be applying for UGC NET, SET, etc. The faculties are highly qualified and experienced. They provide all kinds of help and advice related to the academics with productive classroom interactions and discussions.
The Course I have opted for is M.A. in English. The faculty is undoubtedly very good and helpful. Couldn't have asked for more. Students are helped at every moment by their professors. As I have said before, academics wise it is an Excellent university to be in. It has a good library and technology through which students can get access to desired study materials. Nevertheless, since its a new University, the library will take a little time to be the best.
The course is great, with a lot of practical work inclusive in the course. it gives students hands on learning experience to understand what they are interested in, and what they are good at. the faculty is really supportive and encouraging. they always support and guide us through working on new ideas in not just curriculum based activites but also co-curricular activites. the academics standards are mostly good, keeping in mind that the university is known for maintaining excellent academic records.
