Akal University was established in 2015 and is located in Bathinda, Punjab. At present, the university offers BA, B.Sc and B.Com at UG level. Similarly, at PG level, MA, M.Sc and M.Com courses are offered. Integrated B.Ed programs are offered for four years duration. Akal University also offers Ph.D program in seven specializations.

Application forms for all the courses are to be filled online and has to be submitted to the University office.
A candidate may apply for more than one subject with separate application form and application fee for each course.
For admission to BA, B.Com and B.Sc courses, candidates should have passed HSC with from recognized board with minimum 60% marks.
Minimum Eligibility for PG courses is Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks.
Selection of all the UG and PG courses is done on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.
Admission to Ph.D program is done on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the University.

Akal University UG Admission 2023: BA, B.Sc., B.Com

At Undergraduate level, AU offers three-year of Honours degree courses in fields of Arts, Sciences and Commerce leading to BA, B.Sc. and B.Com programs in various specializations.

Minimum eligibility for admission to UG courses is that applicant must have passed 10+2 examination with at least 60% marks and must have studied a concerned subject of admission at HSC level.

Admission to UG courses is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

Akal University PG Admission 2023: MA, M.Sc., M.Com, B.Ed

Akal University offers two years Honours degree courses in M.Sc, M.Com and MA in various specializations. Additionally, AU also offers integrated B.Ed courses in two disciplines.

Candidates applying for PG courses must have passed graduation degree course in any relevant field with at least 60% marks.

For BA- B.Ed or B.SC – B.Ed course, candidates applying must have done graduation in any discipline.

Admission to the courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Akal University Ph.D. Admission 2023

The University offers a Ph.D. course in seven disciplines.

Minimum eligibility for Ph.D. program is that candidate must have passed Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with minimum required marks.

Selection to the Ph.D. program is based on Entrance examination conducted by the university.

Information Brochure and Application form for admission to any UG or PG course can be obtained from the University office. Forms can also be downloaded from the university website or candidates can also apply online.

How to Apply

Visit the official website of the university.
Click on Admission tab and then on Apply Online.
A new page will appear where candidate must fill the form, upload the required documents and then click on submit.
For download, candidate must click on Downloads tab and then on Admission forms General or Admission form Ph.D.
Fill the form and attach the required documents.
Submit or send the form to the university.
Candidates can also obtain the prospectus cum application form by paying INR 200 from the University office.

Self-attested copy of SSC or equivalent examination certificate bearing testimony to date of birth.
Self-attested copy of Detailed Marks Card of the qualifying examination.
Character certificate issued by the Head Master/Principal of the school/college last attended.
Recent passport size self-attested three photographs.
Self-attested photocopy of Aadhar Card.

Candidates with a gap of one or more year will have to submit an affidavit to the satisfaction of the Admission Committee.

Minority Community Scholarships:

This is a centrally sponsored scheme to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities (Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, & Parsis). These scholarships are awarded through an agency designated by the State Government for this purpose. The scholarships under the following schemes are available to the students belonging to minority communities.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: The scholarship is provided to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities whose parents' income is less than INR 2.5 Lakh per annum.
Post Matric Scholarships: Students belonging to minority communities whose parents' income is less than INR 2 Lakh per annum are provided this scholarship.
Maulana Azad National Fellowship: Under this scholarship fellowships are provided to the students belonging to minority communities whose parents' or guardian's income is less than INR 2.5 Lakh per annum, for pursuing higher studies such as M.Phil. And Ph.D.

Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students:

Under this scheme, Punjab Domicile students belonging to Scheduled Caste are given Scholarship by Punjab Government. To avail the scholarship, the student must belong to the scheduled caste/ scheduled tribe and the annual income of student's family must not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh.

Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students:

This is a centrally sponsored scheme. Under this scheme, Punjab domicile students belonging to the backward classes are given scholarship by Punjab Government. The student must belong to the other Backward Classes and the annual income of student's family must not exceed INR 1 Lakh (BPL).

Going back to an amazing world of my own ( My favourite place- Akal University)

Admission:

In starting I wnated to be in Chandigarh University. But my father insisted me to visit Akal University once. The Vice Chancellor sir Gurmel Singh ji had good family relations with my father. So as I visited the campus I was attracted by a positive vibe of the campus. The discipline that this university teaches its students and the aura of every teacher and teacher's inclination towards students' problems attracted me. So I decided on my own to be a part of this family. If I talk about the eligibility of getting in, then there was a criteria (at my time in 2019) that if you have secured above 70% in 12th then you don't need to give any entrance otherwise if you don't fulfill the requirement then you have to give an entrance. Also there was a scholarship too.

Admission:

I have applied to 3 university. 1 is akal university itself. 2 one is chandigarh university. And 3 one is delhi university. I didn't go for du as the cut for cuet examination went high nd didn't got a seat there. I didn't go for chandigarh university as the fee there is not affordable. I got admission in Akal university as it is around my budget nd i can afford the study here. As the admission process here is quite different. They have their own examination which needs to qualify. The exam is totally based on 12.and they check 12 overall percentage for admission. My overall experience here is nice.

In this university, there is such a nice discipline, nice infrastructure and have a good quality of teaching. In this university, you can take direct admission without any entrance without any merit. Previous year classes started on 23rd July. I prefer this college because of many reasons like discipline, test schedule, free UPSC and CSIR net training, strictness and the main reason I wanna do Hons. In mathematics which is available In best teaching style. I selected this college from this website with accurate information thank you collegedunia.
