To make education accessible to all strata of society, Kalgidhar Society, awards scholarships to economically weaker and meritorious students in all the programs.
- Minority Community Scholarships
This is a centrally sponsored scheme to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities (Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Buddhists and Parsis). These scholarships are awarded through an agency designated by the State Government for this purpose. - The university don't organised fest or some sort of activities.
- The food in the mess is not as per the amout of fees we are paying for mess.
Admission:
I have applied to 3 university. 1 is akal university itself. 2 one is chandigarh university. And 3 one is delhi university. I didn't go for du as the cut for cuet examination went high nd didn't got a seat there. I didn't go for chandigarh university as the fee there is not affordable. I got admission in Akal university as it is around my budget nd i can afford the study here. As the admission process here is quite different. They have their own examination which needs to qualify. The exam is totally based on 12.and they check 12 overall percentage for admission. My overall experience here is nice.

- I liked the way of teaching and supportive nature of teachers.
- Free UPSC Exam is also a plus point of this university. They provide experience trainer.
Dislikes
- There is issue finacial managment of the university. sometime you have miss classes for resolving your fee issue
- They don't focus on physical activities.

The admission process is very simple. There is no entrance Exam. But your score must be more than 60% in the 12th. If you are from the SC category and domicile in Punjab then you get a 100% scholarship on the tuition fee.

- my department faculty-student ratio is 1/25 .all faculty member is doctorates.

- Lot of pressure on students due to Monday tests.
- University hours are also very long from 9 am to 4:20 pm. There is no time left for self study.
