- I liked the peaceful campus. The surrounding are so peaceful.
- The faculty here are so helpful nd kind.
Dislikes
- The university don't organised fest or some sort of activities.
- The food in the mess is not as per the amout of fees we are paying for mess.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have opted for btech computer science. They have prepared the syllabus so well for getting us ready for the jobs as well. They offers various kind of languages to learn in coding which is quite beneficial. They need to slightly improve their way of teaching and should not pressurise students to always study.
Internships Opportunities :
Many students take internships with non-profits and other charitable organizations that provide beneficial services for a local community or society as a whole.They also offer special internships for girls.The college holds different camps and internship fairs to provide numerous internships to the students studying in the college. Coming to placement, my college has proved its reputation by providing on-campus placement to excellent students in the past many years.
Placement Experience :
Students in btech starts getting placement from 3 year. Many company comes to take interviews. From 6 semester students are eligible for placements. The companies visited here is nestle, nd many more softare developments company. The highest package here is 120000 nd average package is around 100000.The one who studied and didn't get any back clears the interview fast. 40 percent of student are placed in good companies. I will also look forward to good placements in my 3 year. After getting the degree i want to apply for job and work hard nd live my small and peaceful life.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I will be paying around 1lakh 20 thousand rupees per year. I am doing btech here. The admission fees was 5500.I live in college hostel so i also pay rent for that which is around 22000 per semester. There are scholarship for sc, st caste. I have also applied for scholarship in my college. They offer various kind of scholarship for the help of student.
Campus Life :
The only cons of this university is that they dont organise any fests in the campus. There is no celebration . The library is fully conditioned and there are varieties of books available there to read. The labs are nice. There is lack of sports activities or any other extracurricular activites. They do offer to apply for NCC. They run free coaching for the student of UPSC which help them to clear.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel offers 3 types of room. Single seat room, double seater, triple seater and a common room also. They also have seperate study room which is air conditioned. I personally didn't liked the mess food. They didn't matched the fees we are paying for the mess food. The dinner menu is worst. I almost starve myself because of the food we get here. The rooms are so comfortable. The girls hostel is there in campus only. We have a canteen in our hostel and a vending machine too.
Admission :
I have applied to 3 university. 1 is akal university itself. 2 one is chandigarh university. And 3 one is delhi university. I didn't go for du as the cut for cuet examination went high nd didn't got a seat there. I didn't go for chandigarh university as the fee there is not affordable. I got admission in Akal university as it is around my budget nd i can afford the study here. As the admission process here is quite different. They have their own examination which needs to qualify. The exam is totally based on 12.and they check 12 overall percentage for admission. My overall experience here is nice.
Faculty :
There are number of intelligent proffesers here from different parts of india . The faculty here is approachable and solves my issue on time. I like my all faculty member as they are very nice and approachable. There are tests on every monday for the subjects you opt. There are internal examination which is quite tough as they are getting us ready for external examination. I am satisfied with my curriculam
