What's New in CCET?
CCET Chandigarh accepts BTech admission through the JEE Main score followed by the JAC Chandigarh counselling. The Round 2 Choice Filling is open till July 17 and the Seat Allotment Result will be released on July 18. Selected candidates can pay the Seat Acceptance Fee by July 20. Interested candidates can check the official website for further details @jacchd.admissions.nic.in.

Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology offers 5 academic departments that conduct regular full time degree level courses on campus. Eligible students can undertake admissions in different engineering disciplines here. The college was established in the year 2002 and it is approved by AICTE, CCET offers 4 streams in B.E programme for undergraduates.
- The basic eligibility is 10+2 or equivalent.
- Admissions are carried by the affiliating University i.e. Punjab University, Chandigarh.

Eligibility for B.E
- A candidate must have passed 10+2 or higher secondary examination from a recognised board with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% for reserved category).
- Final year or appearing students are also eligible to apply for JEE Mains provisionally.
- Also, he/she must have appeared in a national level entrance test like JEE Mains for the particular academic year.
Eligibility for B.E Lateral Entry
- A candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering of minimum 3 years duration from a recognised board/University with at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for reserved category).
- The candidate must also attempt the PULEET Entrance test conducted by Panjab University for Lateral entry admissions.
Selection Criteria
- For seeking admissions to the 4 year B.E programme, a candidate must have a valid score in National Level entrance test JEE Mains.
- For admissions to Lateral Entry B.E admissions, a candidate must appear in the University conducted PULEET Entrance Exam.

Eligibility Criteria
- For seeking admissions to Ph.D programmes, must have passed Master’s degree in relevant stream with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved category).
- Final year or appearing students are also eligible to apply for the entry based entrance test by Panjab University.
Selection Criteria
- Eligible candidates are required to appear for the University conducted M.Phil./Ph.D entrance test.
- Candidates who have appeared for national level tests like UGC CSIR NET, GATE or equivalent are exempted from appearing for the entrance test.

Candidates are required to buy the brochure for the academic year by paying INR 1000 from the office. Submit the application before due date at the college administrative office by following below steps:

- Its a government college, which is better than any other private institutions

Eligibilty of the course is just you should have given JEE MAINS exam. Application is through the JAC Counselling. Cutoff for CSE is approximately 92% with home state quota No reservation is availed by me The application process is extremely smooth and hassle-free

- CCET college fest, Apratim, was fantastic! It happened for two days and had so many fun competitions and events

- The college canteen should be open regularly.
- More numbers of working equipment should be available in the labs.

The admission was granted based on the JEE rank. The candidate had to apply for counselling conducted by JAC (Joint Admission Committee) Chandigarh. I secured a seat in the ECE branch in the final round of counselling.

- course that is being taught is just same as IITs follow so the content we get is also cool

- the campus is small in size but new wing are in development phase
- The faculty is very strict when it comes to the assignment.

For Entrance, Students must give JEE mains a score rank at most 75000 for getting computer science. for other branches, it goes till 3 lakhs rank in jee mains. Then there is special counseling for Chandigarh colleges named JAC in which colleges of only Chandigarh take part. I filled out forms for JAC and in the first round only I got computer science. in Chandigarh, there are 3 categories only i.e. SC, ST, and OPEN. I was under the open category. the admission process is pretty fine no such rush. But documents are verified thoroughly.

- The Social Life: Being an active part of the Dramatics club- Draamebaaz, i made a lot of new friends collecting once in a lifetime experiences and memories. It has been really fun to be a part of it.
- The Location of the College: CCET is in Sec 26 which is at walking distance from various restaurants in 26 and Sukhna Lake and at 5 minutes drive from Elante and Sec 8. So, there are multiple things to do in your free time and relax once in a while.
Dislikes
- The Campus: The CCET Campus was under construction during most of our tenure. So that was a downside; but the location made up for this.
- The Curriculum: The curriculum can be a little hectic (especially 4th and 6th semesters in CSE)
Admission:
You can take admission in CCET for your bachelor's via JEE Mains and have scored at least 75% in your 12th boards (CBSE/ICSE). They have 4 braches of engineering here: Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical and Civil.You can go for CSE if you have a rank of around 50-60k and ECE if your rank is upto 80k.

You can get admission if you have a decent enough jee mains rank it's not that hard plus it's a government college so you don't have to worry too much about campus placements either. application forms can be filled out through jac or visit the ccet website and download the brochure. there are reservation benefits as well.
