How many days will it take to refund my registration fee for UPSEE/AKTU counseling?

The registration fee is returned usually after the 5th round. If you are facing some problems and still havent received a refund, contact them via mail. Usually, two email ids are mentioned so its recommended you contact both. Write down the issue you are facing along with some of your basic details like Admission Number, Roll No., DOB, fathers name, etc. After a wait of 2 to 3 days, your counseling fees will have been refunded successfully in the same account with which you paid the registration fees. You only need to remember to send the mail after the 5th round only.

If I apply for a fee waiver seat in aktu and the 5% fee waiver seats get occupied then will I be treated as a general candidate or I will be out of counselling?

Fee Waiver or FW seats are different from regular ones. You will have to give higher priority to seats with the FW option to opt for it. The simple procedure to apply for TFW seats is as follows: The initial pages of the counseling form show the option ‘Will you opt for TFW seats?’. Tick it. Now you need to fill in the choices that prioritize TFW mentioned options. This part is a bit tricky so I have used an example to make you understand better- If you want CS>>EC in IET>>BIET>>KNIT then your choice should be filled in this manner: IET- CS(FW) BIET- CS (FW) KNIT- CS(FW) IET- EC(FW) BIET- EC(FW) KNIT- EC(FW) IET- CS BIET- CS KNIT- CS IET- EC BIET- EC KNIT- EC. Placing your priorities in this manner will surely get you a fee-waiver seat.

How will I get fee refund that I deposit for UPTU (AKTU) Counseling?

The process to get your counseling fees back is quite simple. Private colleges deduct 50% of fees, college maintenance charges, and library charges. But in the case of government colleges, no such issue is there.

What are the consequences of not opting for an open elective course from NPTEL in AKTU?

Not opting for an open elective course from NPTEL in AKTU does not have any direct bad impact on your results unless you are in the final semester. If you are a final semester student it becomes necessary to enlist in NCER(non-conventional energy resources). Submit your assignments timely and pass the final exam. In case you fail to do so, your result will have a COP and you will be required to give a back paper. I’d recommend students in all semesters enroll in elective subjects of their choice. Completion of the course will give them a certificate from NPTEL which has enough value.

My friend is joining college with a fee waiver seat. How much fee he has to pay in aktu college?

The purpose of FW or Fee-Waiver seats is to let financially weak people pursue their dreams. AKTU has 4-5 seats for the same in every branch of engineering colleges. The average fee of an AKTU-affiliated engineering college is around INR 1,35,000. This includes Exam fees, Training & Placement, Degree, Student Development services, etc. But for a student opting for a Fee-Waiver seat, the complete amount of INR 90,000 (as tuition fees) will be waived. This amount will be paid by the government. The remaining fee that needs to be paid by an FW student is around 20-30k per year. Your college will let you know the exact amount as it varies from college to college.

AKTU B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for those students interested to study B.Tech. at DR. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) are as follows:

They must have scored a minimum passing aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC) in Higher secondary examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as the compulsory subjects.
Admission to B.Tech. will be made as per guidelines of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or Related Council and also according to the latest U.P. Government rules.
Admissions for lateral entry students to 2nd year of B.Tech. is granted to students who have passed 3/4 Diploma with a minimum of 60% of marks in any branches of engineering.

AKTU B.Tech Admission Criteria

Admission to the B.Tech courses will be conducted through JEE Main examination, conducted by NTA. Candidates who qualify the JEE Main cutoff released by the university will be required to appear for UPTAC counselling for seat allocation. Seats are allocated on the basis of JEE Main rank, choice filling, category, and other factors.

Open the official website of UPCET to access the online application.
Fill the online application with personal details like name, email, mobile number, Aadhar number, state, and course interested etc.
Upload scanned photographs, signatures, and caste certificate (if applicable) along with other necessary documents.
Application fee for male students and female students are INR 1300 and INR 650 respectively must be paid.

Ques. What is the attendance criteria for B.Tech. programmes at AKTU Lucknow?

Ans. All students are expected to attend all classes without fail. The attendance can be condoned up to 25% for medical and other unavoidable reasons and further be condoned by 15% by the head of the institution on prior permission. Minimum of 60% will be the requisite for this course.

Ques. Is the student allowed to change to another branch after entering into one course of B.Tech. programme at AKTU Lucknow?

Ans. Yes, a change of branch will be allowed against the vacant seats in the following cases:

Allowed in the first year itself on the basis of merit of entrance examination after the last date of admission to the B.Tech. 1st semester.
Also allowed in the second year, on the basis of merit at the B.Tech. first year examination for those who pass without any carry over papers.

If the student has changed branches, the number of students in that branch shall neither get increased over the intake approved by A.I.C.T.E. nor it should get decreased below 75% of the intake approved by A.I.C.T.E.

Ques. What is the eligibility of passing every year in this course at AKTU Lucknow?

Ans. The students should secure a grade of between A to E and must have scored a minimum of 30% in the end semester examination and a minimum of 40% as aggregate in subjects including the sessional marks. For practical, the student must score a minimum of 50% of marks.

Ques. How many papers are a part of the UPSEE exam towards getting admission at AKTU Lucknow?

Ans. There are 8 papers in total. However, a student interested in applying for the B.Tech. course must only attempt Paper 1. The syllabus of the paper contains 3 sections with 50 questions each and a total of 300 marks.

I would rate the course curriculum as 8 out of 10 but they need to introduce the implementation part of the the couses part for better understandng. They have good facility of lab for the computers. That's all.

the placements of college is very fascinating with a average package of 7.5 lpa in computer science and 5 lpa in other core branches
the campus life here at kiet is quiet studios as everyone are busy in moving forward towards there goal

the campus size here at kiet is really small that is 14 to 17 acres.

the curriculum here at kiet is quiet hectic. there are two cts 1 pue and then semester exam each semester wise . in every 1.5 months the test are being conducted here. the curriculum prepares you well for real world jobs as everyone comes to work hard. I think for improvement there should be more practical tests than theory tests. the cts are of 2 hours and pue and ue are of 3 hours duration.

The course can be improved and still relevant to industry norms. Placement cell also provides extra classes and courses to students to perform well in Placements.

No, you will not get admission to Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech) in Biotechnology as a valid score in UPCET UG is mandatory for the course. You can get admission if you have qualified JEE Mains as 20% of seats are reserved for the same.
