There is an entrance examination conducted to join SRM University for all the branches. It is conducted 3 times for the benefit of students. I got selected in ECE in 1st try, and got Computer Engineering in 2nd try

- The faculty's expertise, teaching methods, and mentorship quality was not upto the mark if you consider the tuition fees. We still had to learn about majority of the topics from online classes from youtube to study for exams
- They charge you for acces of placement portal. They threaten you about blocking the access to the portal for petty reasons.

I did give a written test which was not of any use since my scholarship was revoked due to late admission. No reservation beenefits. They need to make a lot of improvement since a college who recently completed his/her intermediate is not aware of all the options and of his interests in the education it is pursuing.

For admission one has to take the SRMJEE exam which is conducted in 3 phases. the cost of it is 1500 rs. The application form can be found easily on the srm web portal. The exams are tentative, they start in April and continue till July. The difficulty level of the exam is easy to moderate. NCERT books for 11th and 12th are sufficient to complete this exam easily.

To be eligible for the course, one need to get qualifying mark in SRMJEEE or SRMAPET or AP EMCET. according to the rank and marks secured, there is a variation in course eligibility. One can find all the details of the admission process in the official website of SRM university, Andhra Pradesh, i.e., srmap.edu.in. Through SRMJEEE and SRMAPET, there is no reservation, but one can get reservation benefits if he/she is taking admission through AP EMCET. For SRMJEEE and SRMAPET, the management conducts several phases every month, before the start of achademic year. According to the phase, the cut-off varies. The syllabus of these exams are same as 11th and 12th grade syllabus. These exams could be improved by conducting in offline mode, so that only worthy students get scholarships.

- The problem with the college is, it's overpopulated. There are almost 6000 people in my batch across all streams. The Lifts, and classes nad frankly every public place is always crowded and i think the college could be a bit bigger.
- The other problem is the hostels. They are way to overpriced for what they provide, 2 lacs for a three sharing room is alomst diabolical, but we as students have no other options.

The admission process was very streamlined, The college consucts the SRMJEEE which is an online entrance exam and it is not that difficult. Any students with a CBSE level preperation can crack the exam. They conduct three or four times a year. The application form and details can be found on their offical wesbsite. The one area which can be improved, is to conduct the exams offline to decreade malpractices
