Infrastructure is good. Great campus and greenery. Placement opportunity is also decent
Central library is too good, great collection and fully ac with huge seating capacity

Dislikes

Very high student intake and is also increasing every year which increases the competition

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is just like every other college but you study biology and a foreign language which is something new and exciting thing to know about SRMIST. You learn C and C++ along with DSA and there are many open elective you can chose. So the curriculum is well structured. Also they have option to transfer to some foreign universities from 2nd year if you maintain good CGPA.

Internships Opportunities :

The college has 40-60% on-campus internship opportunities. A good LinkedIn profile and strong connection and Networm is highly recommended if you want good internship opportunities. You can get both paid and free internship

Placement Experience :

The students generally start doing internships from 3rd year( some even start from 2nd year itself). The average package is somewhere between 7-8 lakhs and the median should be around 6 lakh. The highest placement was 54 lpa this year offered to 1 student by DeShaw and the 2nd highest was 35 lakh offered to 5 students by Amazon. The placement percentage is very good I would say. The college tries its best to get the student placed even by a mass recruiter if they aren't able to crack big companies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are very very high. 4,75,000 per year for BTech CSE, CSE w/s in AI-ML 4.25lakh py for CSE w/s in Data Science. 3.75 lakh py for CSE w/s in big data analytics or cybersecurity or gaming technology. And they also increase the fee by 10% every year So the fee is not at all affordable. They have multiple scholarship programs based on the rank of SRMJEE or boards(merit and founder's scholarship). And also performance-based. But sadly they don't offer need-based scholarships. The College is helpful in the loan process. They provide the fee estimation and provisional allotment letter after counseling fee payment after which you can easily apply for an education loan.

Campus Life :

The campus is huge 259 acres. It is a beautiful lush green campus. We have multiple fests like Milan(cultural fest) tech fests which also includes hackathons . The library is well equipped with collection of books. The classroom and almost the whole building is fully AC. The college has multiple tech clubs sports club dance and acting club.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is also on expensive side. There are 7boys and 4 girls hostel. Both ac and non ac along with attached and non attached washroom hostels are available. The mess food is pretty much average. They serve fruits and non veg also. Nonveg is served on Wednesday and Sunday. We get 4 meals a day breakfast lunch snack and dinner.

Hostel Fee : INR 183000 per year

Admission :

Eligibility for btech cse is 60% marks in PCM class 12th You can easily find the application form on the official website of SRMIST www.srmist.edu.in The exam is conducted in two phases the first phase exam takes place in April while the second happens in April. The result is declared within 10 days and choice starts within 4-5 days after the result is declared The exam is of moderate level. If you have prepared really well for JEE you'll be able to solve the paper easily

Faculty :

All the facilities are well educated. Most of them are either PHD holders or have done MTECH from reputed institutes. Faculties are well experienced. Some faculties are very helpful while you should be careful with some because they are strict about the attendance and dress code

Great College to Lean Good Engineering Knowledge

Placement Experience:

From the Final year last semester, the students are eligible for campus placement. For mechanical there are a lot of core companies that come for placements. Also, even IT Companies take some of our mechanical students. The percentage of the students who get placed is 90% on average. Some of the core companies are LPT(Lakshmi Precision Tools), SAEW, NVH, PDS, S.S.FASTENERS, RENAULT NISSAN MITSUBISHI. The highest salary package offered is 5 lakhs per annum and on average is 3 lakhs per annum.

Dream to achieve big

Placement Experience:

From semester 6, they will provide campus placement offers. It depends on the students. Many companies will be visiting the college every year. Infosys, IBM, tata, reliance, and many more top companies will be visiting. We may get enormous offers from companies. The highest package is 12laks and average package is 2laks. Nearly every single student will be placed, except some slow learners and who are not mentally prepared one's. My plans after my degree are to get a deserved job and should be profitable.
