- OR Those candidates who have passed their Matriculation examination.
- Candidate who have also passed three year Diploma in any Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal.

IKGPTU, Jalandhar BBA Selection Criteria
Below mentioned is the selection process:
- The university will prepare a common merit list for both general and reserved category candidates on the basis of their marks in last qualifying examinations.
- Candidates securing higher aggregate percentage shall be given higher rank in the merit list. In tie-breaking cases, candidates senior in age shall be given preference.
- Candidates shortlisted will be required to appear for online centralized counselling.
- If seats remain vacant after the two rounds of counseling rounds in reserved category, general candidates will be counseled to fill up those seats.
- 85% of the seats shall be open for the candidates seeking admissions under state quota whereas the remaining 15% seats shall be open for candidates from outside the Punjab state.
- Candidates who passed their HSC examinations or have studied at least three years from schools in rural areas shall be given 5% weightage in marks obtained in qualifying examinations.

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University offers direct admissions to candidates in BBA course. No separate entrance tests are conducted for admissions. Candidates who satisfy the above mentioned eligibility criteria shall only be considered for admissions.

IKGPTU, Jalandhar BBA Structure
- Course Structure: The BBA course curriculum for both specializations include core. Elective, ability enhancement and skill enhancement courses. Practical works, field works, group discussions, projects and viva are a part of the core courses whereas candidates are given the opportunity to choose from elective courses (Marketing, Finance and Human Resource Management) as per their choice from 5th semester onwards. An industrial training for one complete semester is mandatory
- Credits: BBA at IKGPTU is a credit based course. Candidates must earn a minimum of 150 credits in BBA General and 154 credits in BBA SIM in order to pass the course. The credit distribution pattern is as follows:
- Core Courses: 55%-75% of the total credits
- Elective Courses: 10%-15% of the total credits
- Departmental Courses: 5%-10% of the total credits
- Lecture, Tutorial, Seminar, Project, Dissertation: 1 credit each
- Examinations: A total of three midterm sessional tests are conducted in an academic year which carry 25% weightage marks whereas quizzes, class discussion, seminars, attendance, group discussion, project, case studies and assignments carry 16% of the weightage. End term examinations are conducted twice a year and hold 60% weightage.
- Evaluation: Periodic assessments, quizzes, tests, internal and external examinations are conducted to evaluate the academic performance of the students. Evaluation is done out of total 100 marks, among which 60 marks are assigned to external examinations and the remaining 40 are assigned to internal examinations. Candidates must secure at least 20% marks in each course.?

i was fond of the business so i chose this course the cirrculum is poorly made outdated methods, new methods are not introduced teaching methods are good but the books should be updated frequency of exams are good it helps in recalling the knowledge, timing of exams are in 2 shifts morning and evening and their difficulty level is easy to moderate one can pass by just knowing the bacis of the chapters

- All the teachers and support staff is very good

- Hactic schedule was very bad no feelings of college
- Time is 9 to 4 and before 2 no one allowed to go out

Course Curriculum Overview:
MBA offers a wide variety of career options in various fields. This urged me to get enrolled here. It gives a real life exposure but not to everyone. Depends on individual to individual. Teaching methods should include practicals and not merely theory. Exams are too frequently conducted leaving less time to syllabus completion.

- Attendance system is so bad that student came only for this not for study
- Library don't issue book for one sem but we have to come after every 10 days to reissue it

Personally i don't like this as they don't support student in this activity. Courses they provide is good but extra curriculum activity is not good . In fest student is charged for their stall if they want to have some selling experience due to this some student donot do this .

- As a hosteller, mess menu is not upto the mark.
- Feel like Charges for hostel are likely high compared to the facilities they have provided

Diversity of the students which includes students from other states as well as countries. There are also classes for soft skills development which aid is the confidence of students to face the reality in job culture.

mid semester exams level is easy compared to finals these exams are for internal grades exam is of 24 marks and grades are based on average of the MST and assignment submission 75 percentage of attandance is mandatory

- There is no strictness sometimes outsiders also come and create indiscipline

As all of my cousins studied over there and I wish to go at this college and I feels very comfortable over there all the teachers are very humble help every students in there studies as some of the teachers are very lazy as we get bored in there class this is the thing I will suggest to change. As in the gap of 2 months MSE are held of 60 marks and they are easy

- They have great security system. Their hostels are very safe.

I am currently pursuing BBA. It's a great course, the syllabus they make you study is up to date and good. The curriculum is very theoretical and they should add more practical material. The exams are of moderate level.

- The infrastructure of the college is weel and good. The classes are upto date with the technology and several other activities has been performed in the classes make sure that the study is not boring . All the facilities such as hostel, transport
- and mess is weel and good. There are other spaces in the campus to enjoy your day such as pool and snooker , food complex such as nescafe,chai sutta bar etc .
Dislikes
- The management is a bit more strict on the basis of attendance. If you are not regular they are going to call your parents . You are not allowed to bunk lectures . The top floor of the buildings are heated up in summers and don't have aur conditioner

You have an orientation day before you choose your course and you get the complete knowledge of the course you are trying to pursue . You are not only geeting the knowledge of your subjects ,you are also getting other classes such as communication and personality development
