Candidates seeking admissions to BBA at IKGPTU, Jalandhar must satisfy the below mentioned eligibility criteria:
- Candidates who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.
- OR Those candidates who have passed their Matriculation examination.
- Candidate who have also passed three year Diploma in any Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal.

IKGPTU, Jalandhar BBA Selection Criteria
Below mentioned is the selection process:
- The university will prepare a common merit list for both general and reserved category candidates on the basis of their marks in last qualifying examinations.
- Candidates securing higher aggregate percentage shall be given higher rank in the merit list. In tie-breaking cases, candidates senior in age shall be given preference.
- Candidates shortlisted will be required to appear for online centralized counselling.
- If seats remain vacant after the two rounds of counseling rounds in reserved category, general candidates will be counseled to fill up those seats.
- 85% of the seats shall be open for the candidates seeking admissions under state quota whereas the remaining 15% seats shall be open for candidates from outside the Punjab state.
- Candidates who passed their HSC examinations or have studied at least three years from schools in rural areas shall be given 5% weightage in marks obtained in qualifying examinations.

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University offers direct admissions to candidates in BBA course. No separate entrance tests are conducted for admissions. Candidates who satisfy the above mentioned eligibility criteria shall only be considered for admissions.

IKGPTU, Jalandhar BBA Structure
- Course Structure: The BBA course curriculum for both specializations include core. Elective, ability enhancement and skill enhancement courses. Practical works, field works, group discussions, projects and viva are a part of the core courses whereas candidates are given the opportunity to choose from elective courses (Marketing, Finance and Human Resource Management) as per their choice from 5th semester onwards. An industrial training for one complete semester is mandatory
- Credits: BBA at IKGPTU is a credit based course. Candidates must earn a minimum of 150 credits in BBA General and 154 credits in BBA SIM in order to pass the course. The credit distribution pattern is as follows:
- Core Courses: 55%-75% of the total credits
- Elective Courses: 10%-15% of the total credits
- Departmental Courses: 5%-10% of the total credits
- Lecture, Tutorial, Seminar, Project, Dissertation: 1 credit each
- Examinations: A total of three midterm sessional tests are conducted in an academic year which carry 25% weightage marks whereas quizzes, class discussion, seminars, attendance, group discussion, project, case studies and assignments carry 16% of the weightage. End term examinations are conducted twice a year and hold 60% weightage.
- Evaluation: Periodic assessments, quizzes, tests, internal and external examinations are conducted to evaluate the academic performance of the students. Evaluation is done out of total 100 marks, among which 60 marks are assigned to external examinations and the remaining 40 are assigned to internal examinations. Candidates must secure at least 20% marks in each course.?

- The respect of the College that I feel like he these are the best are some of the grounds and the teachers and their behaviours and most importantly they are very friendly and I feel like they are very hard-working and they want the student to learn
- My engagement with campus was it was good like I was an introvert but when I came to this college I became an extrovert and with social interaction there are many good people who are working there and it was a good interaction
Dislikes
- The environment and the call and in the college you have to like stay for long and from long I mean you have to stay till evening if you’re not hostler or if you’re not living close to the College
- The mentality students have around them then environment you do not get an environment where you can learn about business and you can you know if you want if individual wants to grow

My decision to choose bba was just to get practical knowledge not in just this college but in any college if I would take admission so I would take bba for sure because in BO I feel like there is more practical knowledge as well the teaching methods are decent not that much good but the things I like as they have subjects like communication leadership and other type of subject brings out your leadership quality which brings out the hidden qualities of the students and college and because there is vast social interaction in the college as well I feel like They should remove the 75% attendance criteria so that the student can maintain their personal life balance too

Timings of exam is good .They provide us ac's and hearter whenever is needed . Projectors also there in the class . The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program is designed to equip students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed for careers in business and management.

- I loved the hostel facility as i opted for with AC room. It was much better than the other rooms
- I have interest in playing badminton, and college provided the 2 courts one outdoor and one indoor if the weather is not good ouside
Dislikes
- canteen only has cash counter there was no online payment accepted but now it is available
- No wifi was available inside the college premise.

My college from my side had the best faculty members and if i talk about the course i had more intrest in business field thats why i opted for this course.Teaching method by faculty members was very intresting.The timing was good for the exams as appropriate days were provided for the each exam according to the difficulty level of the exam and subject.
