- Apart from the foundation and core courses, students can choose 4 electives from the engineering stream and 4 electives from other streams of their choice.
- Students will have a glimpse into the industry through talks by experts, projects in collaboration with the industry and through internships.
- LPU charges INR 1,40,000 per semester for the B.Tech in Biotechnology course.

LPU B.Tech Biotechnology Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the B.Tech Biotechnology program at LPU must have qualified 10+2 with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST/ CUET/ JEE Mains. Candidates who do not have English as a subject can only apply if they complete 10+2 in English medium.
There is a 5% relaxation for candidates from North East or Sikkim, Wards of Defence Personnel and wards of Kashmiri Migrants.

LPUNEST is an entrance exam conducted by LPU for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

- The questions are divided into 4 sections, each quizzing on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English respectively.
- Each section carries 30 questions.

The 4-year program is divided into 8 semesters with the odd semesters called Autumn Term and the even semesters called Spring Term.
- The coursework of BTech Biotechnology consists of foundation and core courses and 4 electives each in engineering and other streams of choice.

I always liked computer and loved to discover more of the biological world so biotechnology is the perfect combination of the both.There are 3 CA in one semester for each course and one mid term and a end term. As a first year student I learn subjects from other desiplines like ECE,CSE,physics,EVS and mechanical drawing.Other than this biotech subjects were quite good and knowledgeable.In lab real world applications are told.There is one subject called programe orientation,it is the only class where real world examples are told and we discuss about future like to go for a job or higher studies.For job we are trained accordingly with soft skills and for higher studies we are trained for exams like GATE,CAT.The first exam comes after 3months , which is mid term.After another 3 months end term exam comes.The difficulty of the exam relay on the subject.Some subjects like math,ece and chemistry are comparatively tougher than other bio related subjects
