The rooms here at are big enough but they were designed to accomodate 2 people. hence we have two cupboards (in-wall) two stone carved tables attached in-wall. but we have 3 beds, 3 chairs & a few wall spaces to keep objects. Now we also have LAN port services along with the wifi. It is comfortable to live. The mess is a student co-operative mess that allows students to decide the menu, we get food 4 times a day and a good variety of items. The food taste is good mostly. We also have company outlets like nescafe & amul that are quite good. The mess charges are fixed at 25000 per year. The occupancy rate of the triple sharing rooms (first year) is 5000 and for double it is 7500, single rooms cost 10000 per semester. we have fixed water and electricity charges of 10500 per semester. From the second year onwards we are allotted hostels (triple or dual) based on merit. Overall there are good and affordable when compared to other colleges.
There are 12 hostels in the campus 10 for boys and 2 for girls. The prices are also not that much for 3 people sharing the room it's 15500 only. The mess food is just like any other mess food that is okayish.

The hostels provided to the first years are somewhat good as in comparison with the other years hostels. But the problem is the congestion, each room designed for 2 people capacity is being used by 3 people. Also the mess food is just okayish.

We have 2 girls hostel (H-7 & H-12) ,H-12 is the new one and it has very perfect infrastrurcture while H-7 is the older one so it's too spacious and also can the rooms of D block are too spacious .. more like a 1BHK flat , girls of alternate year reside in these hostels . Apart from this we have 5+ boys hostel . We have (H-7) best mess I would say, with 4 meals a day. Rooms are either 2 seater or 3 seater and you are given bed study slabs cupboard and attach washrooms.

Our colleges has total of 12 hostels among which hostel no 7 and 12 are allotted to girls and rest to boys. Every hostel differ in terms of their facility and infrastructure. Similarly mess quality also vary from hostel to hostel. One great thing MANIT has is its students cooperative mess , here students decides the menu and they do handle the budget of the mess. Registration process of hostel is very simple here. If you want to reside in hostel , they will register you and will directly take money during the time of tuition fee submission.

Students can rent out hostel rooms, it charges 18000 for double seater per semester. Girls hostel obviously has better facilities like lift, vending machines, nescafe etc. Hostel reviews are neutral but ut feels safe as girls hostel are located near faculty accommodations for safety. The mess charges 25000 per year and mess food is mess food it can never be like home some we need to adjust.
I will describe my experience of hostel 10, through which you’ll get an idea of the hostels at MANIT Bhopal-
B.Tech freshers are allotted Hostel 10 at MANIT. The hostel is divided into four blocks- A,B,C and D. Each block has 32 dorm rooms, two washroom complexes, two water coolers, an internal courtyard, a mess hall, two common rooms, a guest house, and a T.T. room.
The freshers stay in blocks C and D, and blocks A and B are given to senior B.Tech students. Block C and D are isolated and fenced from the other two blocks. All the rooms are well maintained and in good condition. Due to a shortage of rooms, three students share a single room, instead of two.
The hostel wifi gives decent connectivity. If lucky, you’ll have access to good wifi speed in your hostel room, otherwise, you’ll have to manage with your own internet connection. There is no LAN connectivity in the hostel at present. You can use electrical appliances as no checking takes place. If you get a back facing room in C block, you’ll have access to a serene balcony view. The common rooms are used for DJ nights, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc. We also play holi on the premises. The night view from the rooftop is mesmerizing.
Overall, the hostels at MANIT Bhopal are spacious and well maintained.
Here is some information regarding the boys hostel for M.Tech students at MANIT-
From 2018 batch onwards, M.Tech boys are allotted rooms in the P.G. Hostel 11 (Appu Bhawan). This building is newly constructed, and contains single seater rooms. Each room has an attached balcony.
It is a logical decision to provide single seater rooms for M.Tech students, as one needs privacy at such a high level.
The M.Tech boys hostel at MANIT Bhopal is really good.
As a fresher at MANIT Bhopal, I am eligible to answer this question.
First-year boys get Hostel 10 at MANIT. After you submit your fees during the counseling, they'll ask whether you need the hostel or not. On saying yes, they'll point you to two members of the hostel authority. These people will ask for a photocopy of your ID and fee receipt. After submitting the mess fee for the first two months, you’ll have to go to Hostel 10 for the room allotment process.
The warden office is where these allotments take place. They'll ask for a photocopy of your ID and fee receipt. After this, they'll assign you the room and give you a mess card. Freshers get blocks C and D. Each block has 4 floors, and each floor has 32 rooms. The rooms are two-seater, but due to lack of accommodation, three students share a single room. The rooms (except those on the ground floor) have a balcony each and are decent.
This is the entire procedure for the allotment of hostels for fresher boys at MANIT Bhopal.
