Why did MANIT Bhopal cutoff go down this year?

In 2017, all the NITS saw a drop in their cutoff ranks. The reason was the removal of class 12th boards percentage from JEE Mains rank calculation. Here is a simple example to get my point across- Let’s assume there are 3 seats in IITs and 3 in NITs in 2016, and 26 candidates sit for JEE Advanced.This is how their ranks are placed- A-1, B-2, C-3, D-4, E-5, F-6, G-7, and so on. Till 2016, a lot of top performers of JEE Advanced lagged behind in JEE Mains because of their boards percentage. This created an irregular pattern for the JEE Mains ranking. For example, the JEE Mains rankings of those very students could have turned out like- C-1, D-2, E-3, B-4, F-5, A-6, H-7, and so on. Now, A,B,C took the 3 seats in IITs, and D,E,F got into NITs. So, the cutoff for IITs was 3, and that for NITs was 5 ( as F was the last one to get into NIT, with rank 5 in JEE Mains). But in 2017, the JEE Mains rankings were quite similar to the JEE Advanced rankings. So, the rankings for those 26 students could look something like this in 2017- B-1, D-2, A-3, C-4, F-5, E-6, K-8, and so on. If A,B,C took IITs, and D,E,F got into NITs, the cutoffs for NITs was 6 ( as E with rank 6 was the last person to get in). Here, the cutoff went down by 1 rank. But when lakhs of students attempt an exam, such a change brings down the cutoffs by hundreds and thousands. This is the reason why MANIT Bhopal cutoffs went down from that year.

Computer labs are good, faculty is highly educated.

Mess food was bery bad and not of good quality.

Admission:

Admission has done by josaa counselling with 7 rounds.The cuttoff for unreserved category student is about 7000 rank and for home state quota student that is madhya pradesh is 8000 rank for general category for computer science branch.The bad part is that its increasing every year.

the college campus is quite large which are difficult in traveliing
juinors are not allowed to freely travel without informing

u can take admission throug jee mains and according to the proccess of josa . u can find the application form on the jossa and all the details are available on the websites of jossa reservation depend of the category or income wise timing and the frequency of exam is good and the the paper level is medium depend on the branches admission process is too long it take one day on college

An In-Depth Review of MANIT Bhopal: Excellence In Education With A Room For Improvement

The faculties are well experienced and specific teachers teach only the topics they hold expertise in
The placement and intership opportunites are very good in the college.

The hostels and the infrastructure is very old as compared to other colleges.
Boys hostel rooms are built for 2 people but are triple sharing rooms.

MANIT takes admissions through JEE Mains Exam (along with 75% + in 12th Boards), and though JOSAA / CSAB councelling. A general male candidate needs an AIR of 10000 to the CSE branch in the college. We have reservations for home state Madhya Pradesh (50%) and the rest for other state people. we have reservation benefits for st/sc/obc/ews and pwd candidates. One has to work really hard to qualify the JEE exams and get admission in this prestigious college. We have admission process and alloment of hostels done at the main LRC (learning resource centre) building that is huge and has all counters at one place, making the process fast and efficient.

To get into the university you have to get over a certain cutoff in the JEE Mains. Different branches have different cutoffs. The admission process is quite smooth, the real struggle is inside the college requirements.

The placement opportunities which the college provides.

The restrictions which the administration limits the first year students.
The infrastructure of the college is not that good.

The course can be availed by those who have given the JEE Mains exam and based on its rank, we are provided a seat into this college. This exam is held twice in a year and the score best among the two is considered. Reservation benefits can be availed.

First and foremost is the campus size of more than 650 acres, lush green campus which provides a vibrant atmosphere
Rolata inclusion centre, a building specific for encouraging startup , provide a mentor (in the form profesor) to guide and help you

Because of large campus size need to travel a lot .

Admission to all NIT Bhopal course ( UG , PG , integrated, diploma and other) is entirely entrance - based . For B.Tech (UG) -> selection criteria is JEE Mains score later seat on jossa counselling-> Eligibility Criteria is Class 12 with 75 % . Cutoff depends on the courses you want to enroll i.e. for Computer science and engineering general category cutoff is around CRL 8000 .

Very professional teachers , good placement opportunity.

Eligibility criteria is the rank that you scored in jee main , according to the you will be alloted this collage in josaa counseling. Reservation is based on caste as well as you get extra benefit if your are in hone state i.e. M.P.

Campus Life, since we have campus of around 650 acres you have a lot of space to do every crazy thing u ever wanted to do.
Acadmic pressure is also not too much like u can maintain a decent cgpa if you are investing few hrs daily

Sport facilities and infrastructure needs to be improved

It was via jee mains , you need minimum 95 percentil to get this college and for cse it's 98-99 percentile for general category , there is 50% state quota so you will meet alot of guys from Bhopal or MP itself .In college, we have 3 exams in one sem ( minu test, mid exam and end exam) The admission process was fair and overall the procedure was okayish

Can bring changes in the college and can improve the work being done in it

Classes in college seem proper, teachers' way of teaching and their way of explaining any difficult problems is very good.
There are many activities in college like mafick program, E-cell program, sports. All these happen at a very good level.

The parking facility in the college is not good. Students are allowed to bring bikes in the college due to which some students do stunts and useless things. Students should not be allowed to bike in the college.
The boards of all the classes are not clean and in some classes the benches are broken and in some the projectors do not work

There is a library available for the course which provides excellent course facilities and subscription to various syllabus like NPTEL different rights books for all branches and digital library And the online facility for admission is also beneficial so that students do not have to face any trouble.
