To be honest, I chose Amrita because i didn't get any other colleges. However, Amrita is not at all a bad college to study. They teach you well, guide you well. Everything is in student's hands to design their careers.

Amrita seemed like a good package overall.Placement wise and fee wise it seems better than most colleges.Unlike VTU affiliated colleges,Amrita is deemed to be university. So even if you get backlogs you don't have to run around and waste time ... It's easy to give rexam. There are less formalities...And they don't mention you had a backlog in that subject in your final marks card. I tried for VIT but it's crowded and placements are very competitive coz of the number .Amrita is less crowded compared to other deemed Universities

The admission examination was considerably easy as compared to most colleges. I was selected for a few other colleges before I joined this college but preferred this college due to promising placement opportunities.

I have applied for JEE MAINS, KCET, DSAT, RVCET, REVACET, VIT, MIT (Manipal institute of Techonology) I have tried getting into IIT/NIT but couldn't due to qualification factor. The next college came to my mind was Amrita it was strict in regarding Drugs, Ragging which made my mind to think good about this college. The college would provide better placements than other colleges which i mentioned above and even better infrastructure. The admission process of my college is through AEEE/JEE mains we can come through any mode. The eligbility is the student must have 60% in MPC subjects I have entered into college through JEE mains The EAC branch cutoff through JEE mains is 85 percentile Amrita accepts most of them through AEEE exam. It has an counselling process where students can opt for preffered campus and branch. There are 3 rounds where they would show which branch and campuss you are alloted.

I got into many other colleges but I was specific about the course to be artificial intelligence and also many people told me that amrita had good placements for ai batch .thats the main reason I had taken this college .i had got nit surathkal mining engineering ,pes -electrical ,Bms and some other colleges . I didn't choose nit cause it was mining engineering and I was particular about AI so I chose Amrita Bangalore .The admission process at my college happens either through jee mains or Amrita entrance exam called Aeee and there is management quota too

Compared to other colleges here there is a reputation that is always maintained and the faculty and performance students are fine and the college also offer decent placements. The experience of this college is good. Admission process is through Amrita entrance exam or Jee score or Management. After that based on the scores they can get their preferred course based on availability.

I applied to a few colleges like VIT, Manipal, Shiv Nadar..etc. I got admission to the 2nd as well. I choose this college due to several factors like senior recommendation, faculty, location, lack of bad influence and habits ..etc. Actually my dad was determined not to make me really stressed by forcing me into entrance and IIT coaching so I did preparing only for SAT exam instead. And most of the colleges consider entrance scores as major criteria for admission. I was planning to go for higher studies abroad but unfortunately the COVID pandemic struck at the time and had to cancel. So yeah I prepared majorly for SAT.
The All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE) cut off by rank was- 9199 for the general category and economically weaker sections and at 9983 for the OBCs, in 2018. In 2019, it was 8893 for general category students and economically weaker students and 10421 for OBCs.
The merit list will be prepared based on 60% marks secured in AEEE 2020 and 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

Cut-off for Amaravati:
It must be noted that Amrita will not be offering Engineering programs in the Amaravati campus this year, 2020.
Besides this, in 2017 the Open Quota Rank at Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri was between 5696-6991 and the State Quota Rank was between 16547-19969.
The possibility of getting any of the branches is open to students with a rank of 4396. Following the trend shown in the table and comparing it to the 2018 rank scale which had the opening rank between 1-750 for the general category and 1-15000 for the reserved categories. State Quota for the AEE saw the opening rank between 10001–12500 and the closing rank between 20001–22500.
Students must note the counseling procedure will be decisive in the process of selection. A rank of 4936 can lead one to any branch they'd like to choose.
The chances of getting a seat for a desired campus and course depends on the competition and toughness of the entrance exam.
There are many determining factors of the AEEE cutoff such as, number of seats available, number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of students who applied and appeared for exams.
Each year the cutoff set by the college for admission is different, that is why it is tough to answer this question if one can secure a seat in CSE for the desired campus. However, one can look at the previous year’s cutoffs to get an idea about the ranking and seat allotment process.

According to the previous year’s cut-off mentioned, it is very hard for the student to get admissions into the Amrita Coimbatore campus with a rank of 2,231. However, there is a chance to be accepted for the CSE program with an AEEE rank of 2,231 at the Bangalore campus as the cut-offs for the previous year indicate.
Therefore, one can get admission into Amritas at the Bangalore campus. However this analysis is done on the previous year’s cutoffs, that is why one needs to be updated with the current year’s cutoffs which can be checked on the official college website.
One of my friends is a student at Amrita University, Bangalore pursuing CS. He has better opinions on the same.
In a nutshell, you should monitor the seat availability status that is usually also published from time to time on the main website of the institute. It is suggested that you check that whenever necessary to keep pace with more information.
