Christ University, Faculty of Engineering, Bangalore Admission

Admission to B.Tech and M.Tech, is based on entrance test, conducted by the university followed by a Micro Presentation (MI) and Personal Interview (PI).

Candidates applying for the PhD programme must appear for the PhD entrance examination. This is followed by a Research Skill Assessment Test and an interview round.

However, candidates who qualified for GATE/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ UGC- NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ a teacher fellowship holder or have an M.Phil degree are exempted from the entrance examination. Such candidates shall only have to appear for the Research Skill Assessment Test and PI.

How to apply?

Prospective candidates can apply through both online and offline mode. Follow the steps below to apply:

To apply, visit the official website of Christ University and click on the ‘Admission’ tab
Next, candidates must register themselves
Now fill the form with personal details and educational qualifications
After completing the form, pay the application fees via Credit / Debit Card / Net banking facility
Then submit the application form
Download and take out a print of the application form and receipt of payment.

Offline

Candidates can obtain the application form from the admission office of the University
Fill the application form correctly with all the relevant details
Candidates must then log on to http://offlineapp.christuniversity.in/
Next, create a login ID and click on ‘Proceed with Application’
Now enter the offline application number and receipt number
Then proceed to type in all the details filled out in the hard copy of the application form

Christ University, Faculty of Engineering, Bangalore provides financial assistance and scholarships to meritorious students and also to needy and deserving students from economically weaker sections. The scholarships offered are listed below:

Merit Scholarship: Awarded to students based on their academic performance before entering the university and their subsequent performance in several tests and examinations. This scholarship will consist of a percentage refund of fees.
Scholarship for Financial Assistance: Eligible students must be from economically weaker sections, especially from a rural area. Such students will receive a percentage of fee concession.

Somewhere inside the campus there is a little advantage for malayalm speaking people at the canteen as every canteen is maintained by them except one.

It is 75 acres lush green campus . And can enjoy the nature
I like the way they manage both extracurricular activities and studies

Attendance is very strict there. U need to have minimum of 75%

I applied for Vit ,karpagam SRM colleges. I choose this college because it's near to my home and the quality of education is good with experienced faculties. I choose Christ becoze of its holistic education and balanced life with few rules to maintain the decorm of the campus.

Likes

There are many programs for students to engage. Students can participate in many programs. The college also give importance to sports.
Neat and clean campus. The campus is clean and is very beautiful. For students it is a beautiful environment once the enter the campus.

Dislikes

Some rules in the college are not so nice. The college say that the minimum attendance percentage to keep is 85. But they also say that according to the gov it is 75.
They always change the rules. I have also heard that some students have paid some amount illegally to avoid detention and some backlogs.
Students who are having attended percentage below 75 are detained and it is fair. But students who are having attendance below 85 are supposed to pay a fine.

Admission:

Our 10th and 12th marks have a good role here. My 12th marks were average but there were less students in my section and hence I got admission easily. There is an entrance test and once after passing the test there will be an interview. After these they will check our eligibility. In some other sections where they had many applicants, it was a little tough.

Better internship and training

Admission:

I got admission thourough 12th percentage which was a fairly flexible process in the college. Right after counselling, I was given the option of joining CHRIST even with its low cut-off rank. Admission is done quickly for any entrance test students whereas students getting admission thourough management seat are required to take an interview. Coming to the course, I was keen on information science even before joining the college.
