Admission to the programme shall be open to all the candidates who have passed senior secondary/10+2 or equivalent examination conducted by Central Board of School Education (CBSE)/Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education or any other recognized Board/Institute whose examination is considered as equivalent thereto and have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in case of General Category and 55% marks in case of Reserved Category.
Admission Based on JEE-Mains.
The university offers admission into B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Ed, LLB, BA LLB undergraduate programmes for which admission is granted on the basis of entrance or merit in the qualifying examination.
The university also offers Lateral admission into the B.Tech programme.

The curriculum is good but can be improved a lot , the exam pattern can be better as it's much old style theory writing examination, and the checking to strict , also sometimes the examination department makes mistakes checking the papers of students
B.Tech was a preferable choice because of better job opportunities. Most of the teachers have done their Ph.D's. Exams were always on time, papers were fairly difficult.
