GTU Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

GTU offers admission to B.E/ B.Tech courses at the undergraduate level. The 4-year undergraduate course is offered in full-time mode. The minimum eligibility is that the students are required to complete the 10+2 level with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the related field from a recognized board. For admission to B.E, students are required to obtain valid marks in JEE Main or GUJCET. Gujarat Technological University B.E. fees is INR 40,000 annually. There is no management or NRI quota for admission to GTU B.E. courses. There are four specializations available in the course as follows under GPERI, GTU:

*Admission to 100% of seats at GTU is governed by The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat. 

• The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with 50% marks in aggregate in PCB/ PCM subjects combination from a recognized board. 
• Candidates belonging to reserved categories are given a relaxation of 5% in the eligibility criteria. 

GTU B.E. Selection Criteria

GTU Ahmedabad offers a 2-year M.E. or M.Tech program under four specializations. Admission to 50% of M.E. seats is done through the ACPC process and the remaining 50% of seats are filled by GTU in the Graduate School of Engineering and Technology. The per semester fees for GTU M.E. courses is INR 12,500. The M.E. specializations at Gujarat Technological University are given below:

GTU M.E. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the GTU M.E. course have been given below:

• For M.E. Computer Engineering (Cyber Security), the candidate must have passed B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Technology OR CSE OR Information Technology Engineering OR Information and Communication Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. 
• For M.E. Computer Engineering (Internet of Things), the candidate must have passed B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering OR Information Technology/Information & Communication Technology OR Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication OR equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWSs candidates) marks at the qualifying examination.
• For M.E. Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, the candidate must have passed B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering OR Information Technology/Information & Communication Technology OR equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWSs candidates) marks at the qualifying examination.
• For M.E. Civil Engineering, the candidate must have passed B.E./ B.Tech in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWSs candidates) marks at the qualifying examination.

GTU M.E. Selection Criteria 

The selection criteria for the GTU M.E. course have been given below:

• Merit in Gujarat PGCET/ GATE exam followed by ACPC counselling.

GTU M.E. Cutoff 2024

GTU Ahmedabad offers 2-year MBA in two specializations namely, International Business (IB) and Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development (IEV). The university offers admission to 60 students in IB and 30 students in IEV specializations respectively. The per semester fee for GTU MBA is INR 13,125. Candidates must have passed Graduation with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS category) to apply for MBA admission. The selection will be based on CMAT marks and the seat allotted by ACPC Gujarat. 

GTU MBA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for GTU MBA is given below:

• The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks from UGC recognized university.
• The candidates belonging to the SC/ST/SEBC/EWS category should have at least 45% marks to be eligible.

GTU MBA Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for GTU MBA course is given below:

• The university accepts the CMAT score for selecting the candidate.
• The applicants meeting the required cutoff must apply for ACPC counselling conducted by the Government of Gujarat. 
• For MBA (Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Venture Development), the candidates need to appear for a personal interview for startup initiatives. 

GTU MBA Cutoff 2024

Students can check the table below for GTU MBA cutoff for General category students (Round 1) based on ACPC:

Gujarat Technological University offers admission to B.Arch, BBA, B.Sc., BHMCT, B.Pharm, B.Voc, and B.Plan at the UG level. The basic eligibility criteria is to have passed the Class XII exams with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate to apply for any of these courses. Admission to all of these programs is merit-based in the last qualifying examination. 

GTU B.Pharm/ B.Sc./ BHMCT/ B.Arch/ B.Plan/ BBA/ B.Voc Eligibility Criteria 

• For B.Pharm, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate in the Science field.
• For B.Sc. (Hons.) with Research in Biotechnology, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and English as compulsory subjects.
• For BHMCT, BBA, B.Arch, and B.Voc, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate.
• For B.Plan, the applicant must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate or a Diploma in Civil or Architecture Assistantship.

GTU B.Pharm/ B.Sc./ BHMCT/ B.Arch/ B.Plan/ BBA/ B.Voc Selection Criteria 

• Admission to B.Pharm/ B.Sc./ BHMCT/ B.Arch/ B.Plan/ BBA/ B.Voc at GTU Ahmedabad is merit-based. The Class XII scores are considered for admission. 

GTU offers several PG programs in different specializations. The duration of the courses is 2 years. The basic eligibility for the PG courses offered by GTU is that students need to have a bachelor's degree in the concerned subject from a recognized university. GTU PG admissions are entrance and merit-based. For MTTM and MCA, admission is given on the basis of merit in the previous qualifying examination. For other courses such as M.Sc. & M.Pharm, students need to appear in the entrance examination and obtain a qualified score.

• For MCA, students need to pass a Bachelor's degree with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Statistics as compulsory subjects. 
• To be eligible for M.Pharm courses, students need to pass B.Pharm with 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. 
• To be eligible for M.Sc courses, students need to pass a B.Sc course in the concerned subject with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
• For MTTM, the candidate must have passed Graduation from a recognized University or Institute.

GTU MCA/ M.Pharm/ M.Sc./ MTTM/ Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for GTU PG courses are given below:

GTU offers several doctoral courses. All the courses are offered in full-time regular mode. To be eligible for GTU research programs, students must have passed a Master's degree in the concerned subjects from a recognized university. Selection will be made on the basis of NET qualified score. Gujarat Technological University offers M.Phil, Ph.D. & Pharm.D at the doctoral level. 

GTU Ph.D./ M.Phil/ Pharm.D Eligibility Criteria

The students have to meet the following eligibility criteria in order to pursue GTU Doctoral courses:

• For a Ph.D. course, students need to have 55% marks in aggregate in a Master’s degree from a recognized university. 
• For the M.Phil course, students are required to complete postgraduation with 55% marks in aggregate in the concerned subject from a recognized university. 
• For Pharm.D, students must have passed the 10+2 level examination from a recognized board.

GTU Ph.D./ M.Phil/ Pharm.D Selection Criteria

• To get admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil courses, candidates need to appear in UGC NET and must obtain a valid score. 
• The selection for a Pharm.D course is based on merit in the previous qualifying examination.
