All students are given single occupancy rooms from the very first year, the room includes bed, table and chair with cupboard and paid laundary facility at each floor. There are not many PGs available near by the new campus and student either stay at PGs 2Km away or at nearby city Madgaon. The hostel registration process is simple and includes paying fees at online portal and mailing the warden for room allotment.
The hostel is good. The rooms are fully furnished and have beds, almirahs and study tables for everyone. The hostel food is also good. The hostel is kept very clean. A laundry facility is available in the hostel. The hostel common room has an LCD TV facility. The hostel wardens are professional and the hostel staff is properly trained. The hostel is security is also very good and 24 hours availability.
The hostel infrastructure is very well maintained. The hostel is hygienic. The rooms are big and available on sharing basis. The hostel mess food is good and cooked in a hygienic environment. The hostel wardens and the staffs are very professional and work hard to maintain the hostel decorum. The hostel has 24 hours of power and water supply. At the price point of 8000, the hostel is worth it.
We have hostel facility too. And per semester it's fee is 30000 it is same for all category student. Hostel rooms are clean n washrooms are also clean too. Hostel provides a bed, table and a chair to a student.
The college does not have a proper hostel for the students. They are charged a large amount of money but the facilities are not good. Each student pay around 1 lakh per year for hostel and canteen easily.
Yes, I opted for hostel facility. The hostel rooms are shared among 3 students each. The facilities are: •24x7 wifi and water •Transport from hostel to college via bus. •Daily cleaning of rooms are done. •There is mess facility available in the hostel itself. There are 3 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls.
Since NIT Goa is on its temporary campus (in GEC campus) it's hostels are GEC hostels itself. The hostels are okay but not good. Once the new campus is built (expected to be built in 2021) excellent hostels are expected.
Hostel is good Best one in hostel 4 Nit goa doesnot have its own campus till yet. So hostel facility like anothet nits is not their Food of hostel will be same all over india( offcourse not good) Near place for rented flat is ponda 5 km from goa Rents are less
During my time (2010 14), we only had temporary infrastructure so the conditions were not that great slowly they'll move to new campus and the facilities will be at par with any other NIT.

Rooms are descent here in new campus. We have a fancy separate room with one cupboard, a desk, a chair and a bed, with good amount of lights. Meal quality is not good. Boys have kitchen in their hostels but for girls hostel food is delivered from boys hostel. Because of this girl students have to suffer. Even in timing for inside the campus is not so strict with boys. Hostel is quite affordable and compulsory for all the students. No PG is allowed.
According to some of my friends studying at NIT Goa, their hostel facilities are not that great in all terms be it food, internet, and cleanliness.
Hence, it is quite evident that it's not worth staying in the NIT Goa hostels and a student should prefer to stay out as paying guests or flats.
NIT Goa is still operating from its temporary campus located at Farmagudi, Goa which is approximately 29 km from the state capital at Panaji. It is functioning temporarily from the campus of Goa Engineering College (GEC).
Due to its limited facilities, it currently offers accommodation to only outstation students. However, only 2 options are available - a shared accommodation on campus or in a rented building close to the campus.
For students who are natives of Goa, the institute does not provide any accommodation facilities. You can either travel to and fro the campus or take up privately rented apartment rooms and PGs in the college vicinity.
As some of my friends studied at NIT Goa, I learnt from them that, No preparation is required to take a hostel at NIT Goa.
These are the facilities provided by the hostel of NIT Goa. According to my friends, your hostel life here will be interesting.
