My brother was a student at this institute. He scored 180 in JEE Main and bagged an AIR of 13000. The day he entered the institute, he realized this wasn't for him. But as time passed, he got familiar with the college and even started enjoying his time there. Here are some snippets of his experience at the institute.
Being a part of the first few batches my brother had many opportunities. They even started a cultural festival in college. My brother does not regret choosing NIT Goa one bit. Most of his batchmates secured job offers at reputed MNCs.
I will share my experience at NIT Goa after I took admission in M.Tech in VLSI at the institute. Please remember that these will be my thoughts and might differ from person to person.

One of my friends is a student of NIT Goa and according to him, the new campus is being built at Cuncolim, Goa.
Most essentially, the director of NIT Goa once went on to mention that the new campus of the institute would be established within 1 and a half years, back in December 2020. As of now, it seems that the construction will last until mid-2022.
However, the anticipation of the final construction date cannot be determined. But since there is a locational advantage, the campus would be a successful attempt in the near future. Besides, students will have access to beaches in close proximity to South Goa.
At present, the construction is at the very initial stage, while the office of construction has only been recently set up.
NIT Jamshedpur is a better institute than NIT Goa, here’s why.
These are some of the primary reasons why NIT Jamshedpur is better than NIT Goa.
I have a friend who used to be a student of NIT Goa. Based on the conversation I had with him, I can give you some information regarding the facilities offered by the institute.
As it has been years since its establishment, students organize a lot of events which you will find entertaining.
One of my friends is a student of NIT Goa and according to him, he didn’t study a whole lot. It came as a complete surprise to him. During his 12th grade, his aim was to focus on Board examinations and not prepare for any entrance exam. After that, he intended to take a year off. Following his 12th board examinations, he took JEE Main and a few more exams to gauge the amount of hard work he needs to put in over the next year.
The paper results were likewise as expected. He just made the cut-off by 20–25 points. JEE Advanced was difficult for him to finish.
Surprisingly, board scores were taken into account when JEE ranks were released that year. Because he was studying for his boards that year, his 12th-grade scores gave him an advantage, and as a result, he was able to earn a reasonable grade, which eventually brought him to NIT Goa.
No one can tell you how hard you need to work. You will know how to prepare yourself best.
One of my friends studied at NIT Goa. According to him, In the recent placement drive of 2021, the students of NIT Goa were offered the highest packages compared to the placement drives of the previous years.
