Scholarship is available on the basis of your performance under the General Open Competition scheme. The decision is made by the Dean on the basis of your prior academic record and subsequent performance in post-graduation(with some leniency for SC/ST/Disabled). M.Sc scholarships come to around Rs. 7,560/-, with a contingent grant of Rs 6000 per academic year towards the cost of books, material, etc.
There is senior scholarship also available for the students of PhD, with a special considerations for those with reservations. The decision for it is ultimately made by the dean and is made on the basis of your academic record and the score in the entrance examination and interviews.
Every student admitted in IARI gets fellowhip so I got it both in MSc and PhD. Besides, students can also apply for fellowship to other agencies such as DST, UGC, CSIR.
Handsome contingency for book and stationery but there was no loan facility. We were getting around 10000/- contingency. Per month scholarship was 5,600/-. No loan facilitates as all inducted students were getting scholarship for 2 year and 3 moth in extension.
Yes our college is providing JRF and IARI fellowship to all students and apart from that college is refunding all fees of students of scheduled caste and tribes. And their is special fellowship for scheduled in form of Rajeev Gandhi fellowship.
