Infact, sevearl VIce chancellors of agricultural universities, Directors of Institutes and Director Generals of International Institutes such as International Rice Resaerch Institute, Manila, Phillipines hare proud alumni of this great institution. Its several alumuni have won Prestigious World Food Prize.

Placement opportunities are excellent. Several firms such as the Central Bank of India, Indian Forest Service, Indian Economic Service seem employees from IARI. For Group B, almost 85% vacancies are filled directly from IARI and its competitive examinations.

The IARI has an excellent placement cell. Every year, several private and public organizations recruit their employees from IARI. I have friends who got hired by Central Bank, IFS, and so on. The placement cell is very active and always on the lookout for future recruiters.
