IGNOU Admission 2024 is open for the July Session. The last date to apply for programs offered through ODL and Online modes has been extended to July 15, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online on the official admission portal of IGNOU at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Also, IGNOU Re-Registrations last date for the July 2024 session has been extended to July 15.
IGNOU admissions are conducted twice a year, i.e. January and July sessions. Registrations for the January session are usually conducted in the month of December-January and those for the July Session start in the month of May every year. IGNOU is the largest open university in the world, offering more than 200 distance learning programs. IGNOU degree for all courses is valid worldwide as it is considered equivalent to any other accredited university or institute.
IGNOU currently offers UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate, and PhD courses. Admission to most of the courses at IGNOU is granted on the basis of merit (marks secured in the respective qualifying examination). For courses such as B.Ed, M.Ed, Post Basic B.Sc, Nursing, M.Phil, and Ph.D., admissions are conducted through an entrance test conducted by IGNOU. IGNOU Online Courses Admission 2024
IGNOU currently offers 41 Online Distance Learning (ODL) courses at the UG and PG level. These courses are conducted completely in online mode. Students are not required to attend any physical classes at their regional center. These online courses can be accessed online and the university also provides online classes too. Admission to these courses is also conducted twice a year (in January and July sessions). Selection for these courses is done on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
IGNOU Application Process 2024
Before registration, all the first-time applicants are advised to check the details including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc. for the desired program from the “Online Admission System” portal available on the official IGNOU website. Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps for Online Registration:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU and click on the “Register Online” Tab. Upon clicking on the tab, select “fresh admission” from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: The click will drive you to a new window with two options, “login” for the registered candidates, and “Click Here for New Registration” for the fresh applicants. If you are a fresh applicant, go for the new registration. The form for the new registration will appear in the following manner:
Upon verifying the necessary details, candidates should click on the "Register" button which appears in the applicant login area and fill the required registration details.
- User Name entered must be between 8 to 16 characters.
- Password entered must be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters.
Upon filling the mandatory information, the candidate should click the "SUBMIT" button. The candidate’s username will be instantly sent to the registered e-mail ID and SMS. The student must remember his/her username and Password for subsequent login.
Step 3: Now, after the successful registration, go back to the IGNOU admission portal and log in as the registered applicant for further process.
Note: Already registered/ existing users must click the "Login" button and enter their username along with the password to go any further.
Step 4: Upon registering through the “Login” button, the candidate will be required to enter personal details, program details, qualification details, course details, and correspondence details.
- If the candidate subjects are different than the subjects mentioned, the candidate should click the "Others" checkbox
- For candidates having the qualification of graduation and above, he/she should select “9999” in the field of "Board Code"
Pre-requisites for filling up the application form online:
Before filling-up the form online, candidates must possess the following documents:
- Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB in size)
- Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB in size)
- Scanned copy of Age Proof
- Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 400 KB in size)

IGNOU Admission Fees and Refund Policy 2024
Candidates seeking admission at IGNOU need to pay a one-time registration fee of INR 200. Students must note that the registration fee is non-refundable in any circumstances. Once the registration process is complete, the university will then charge an admission fee for the first year or first semester as per the program chosen during registration. However, if a student wants to cancel his/her admission, they can ask for a fee refund from the university. IGNOU admission fee is refundable under some circumstances and within a given period.

Every 12th pass can be eligible for the new one. The university courses have the application filed online by your computer. Search, I wear café details of reservation benefits. There was no search benefit for details. The frequency and timing of the exams will be conducted in uh every year last. At that December, and I had to, they had to improve the theater. They do not have to improve their admission progress because it was great. I will not have any problem with that.

There is no entrance exam for taking admission in this course, Only a Student needs to get average marks in class 12th with Science stream to take admission in BSCG through IGNOU, For Admission, A Student can take admission in two session, July session and December session, The thing that I don't liked that It take too much time of 3 - 4 month for admission.

- The fee structure is quite economical. When I compare it with other universities, it is relatively very low. It can be opted for by almost everybody, especially for students who can barely afford to do basic education after class12th, it is a boon.
- The assignments are submitted for two semesters together and the exams are also, done for two semesters together. Also, if you miss giving exam in the respective month , there is also an option to give reappear for the exam in the next term , genius.
Dislikes
- The exam schedule is quite irrational sometimes, it coincides with other competitive exams which is why students have to skip this exam and wait to appear for them in next term . Thus , they have to get their facts right while preparing the schedule.
- The study centres that work with IGNOU need to be prepared. Some study centres are way too far and the teachers in charge throw tantrums while invigilating the exam
Admission:
The admission process for Indira Gandhi National open University is quite simple . There is no hassle .The student has to go through the official website , there is a section available for admission and the student can apply for any course of their choice through that online portal , the fees can also be paid online and everything can be done online , at just a click of a button .They do not have to go in person to the college or anywhere to get the things done .You can do everything online. The study material that they provide is very phenomenal ,anybody can pass out with flying colours if they study from the material that they provide.The difficulty level of the examinations is from easy to medium and even it is slightly more difficult ,any student would be able to crack it if they study from the study material that they provide. Examinations are conducted a twice every year for a respective year and if a student misses an exam in one of the terms then he can give it in another term.

What is the purpose of a study center/regional center in IGNOU?
Every state in India may have at least one IGNOU regional centre. Some people may have multiples. Kerala, for example, has two.

Some courses are available for study in regional centres, but they are uncommon. Study centres are typically used for classes as well as the administration of theory and practical exams.
There are numerous IGNOU study centres located throughout the state and the country. Typically, each district in a state has at least one IGNOU study centre. However, this is conditional on the state. One issue is that not all study centres offer all IGNOU courses.
It is possible that the course you want to study is not available at your nearest study centre. As a result, you must choose a study centre based on your desired course. What is the procedure for pursuing B.Ed from IGNOU?

How do I get my IGNOU ID card after taking admission in the MA programme?
To get your IGNOU ID card you need to visit your IGNOU regional centre. You can collect it from there. The ID card should have a stamp of IGNOU on it which makes it valid. If you will download your IGNOU ID card online, it does not have the stamp making it invalid. This will be a major problem in your exams.
It is highly possible that IGNOU does not mail your card. Most of the time you will have to visit the regional centre personally to get your IGNOU ID card.
When my term-end examination will take place as I enrolled in MEG 1 IGNOU in the month of July?
Every year, IGNOU holds its TEE (Term End Examinations) in June and December.
The practical and theoretical parts of the same course must be mentioned separately in the exam form, and the fees are also separate for both. The exam fee for both theory and practical courses/papers is currently 60/- rupees.
Typically, a grace period of 10-20 days is also allowed for the submission of examination forms, with a Late Fee of around 1000/- rupees as of now. The exact end date of the grace period as well as the late fee amount are communicated separately.
If the previous examination's results have not been declared, you should include those courses in the exam form. You may also be exempt from paying the exam fee for such courses. At the time of exam form submission, confirm this with the respective study center. Please keep in mind that the assignment portion of the respective courses must be completed before submitting the exam, or your hall ticket for the examination may be withheld. You are considered an Eligible Candidate once you register for a course and complete the semester/year allotted to that course.
Once you are eligible, you can take the exam in any subsequent TEE (June or December). You can still appear in both TEEs if your course is year-based rather than semester-based. This is a major source of confusion for students enrolled in annual programs.
You may reappear for a paper as many times as necessary to pass it (mind the maximum program duration, however). If the previous examination result was not declared or if you did not receive at least 40% pass marks, you should reappear.
You cannot reappear for that course TEE once you have received the minimum required marks (typically 40%). You must complete ALL courses within the maximum time frame for the Program.

- You can apply offline as well. Download IGNOU prospectus from the official website and submit your application form to IGNOU regional office, before the closing date.
Note that offline application mode is limited for a few courses and only some of the regional centers are accepting offline applications.

You can get admission after the last date but you need to provide late fees of INR 500 as well with the help of provision for late admission at IGNOU New Delhi.
