IGNOU B.Sc Nursing 2024 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for IGNOU B.Sc Nursing is given below, if you are applying for B.SC Nursing you must go through the eligibility criteria. You must apply only when you meet the eligibility criteria:

Education Qualifications:

• Completed 10+2 from a recognised board.
• Candidates who have qualified 10+1 are also eligible IGNOU B.Sc Nursing.
• In 10+2 you must have streams with Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

Nursing Registration

Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) from the State Nurse Registration Council.

Certificate or Diploma in GNM

•  Three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of two years of experience.

Additional Requirements for Male Applicants

• Should have a certificate in any of the Nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council instead of midwifery.

Work Experience for In-Service Nurses

• In-services nurses who have diplomas from GNM have qualified 10+2 and have experience of two years.
• In-services nurses who have a diploma from GNM have qualified class 10 and five years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession.
• Candidates with 10+2 and GNM must not apply if their experience after RNRM is less than two years.
• Candidates with 10th class and GNM must not apply if having less than 5 years of experience after RNRM.
