GGU Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Ans. GGU offers in total 7 specialisations under the B.Tech program. Admissions to all the specialisations are done on the basis of JEE Mains scores. Applicants who did not appear for JEE Mains Cancel apply at GGU for BTech. Such applicants can apply through the Local or University Level Counselling. Admissions will be given to the left out seats after the admission to the JEE Mains scores students. 

Ans. The Admission process at GGT for Btech is straightforward. Applicants should first appear for the JEE Mains exam. Then, applicants must apply on the JOSAA - CSAB website for counselling from GGU. Proceeding further the applicants can expect merit lists and counselling schedules from the University. On the day of counselling, students must bring their documents, photo copies and the original copies. The document submission and further offline verification is done. Finally, the fee payment portal will go live for the applicant.

Ans. Applicants who have been shortlisted can see their name in the merit lists released by GGU. However, mere appearance in the merit list does not confirm an applicant’s admission. After the merit lists are released, the students will be called for a counselling session. Once the counselling is done, document verification is conducted on the same day before the fee payment is done online. 

Ans. BTech offers some of the safest career options with respect to job safety. However, in order to have a good career in the subject, students must perform well academically. Ans. The basic eligibility for B. Tech is +2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology with at least 50% marks. In order to pursue a B.Tech course at GGU, an applicant must have studied Mathematics in 12th grade. It is because Maths is one of the fundamental subjects in engineering. Therefore, having an understanding of the subject is a must. 

Ans. Applicants can apply for B.Tech at GGU with JEE Mains score only. There are no other entrance tests accepted by the university for the 4 year course. 

Ans. The duration of B.A. Economics at GGU is for 4 years. An applicant must have at least 50% in class 12 in order to be eligible for the BA Economics course. Moreover, the general test scores will be taken into consideration in CUET UG for B.A. Economics at GGU.

Ans. There are 12 specialisations under the B. Sc. at GGU. The specialisations offered are Anthropology, Zoology, Biology, Forensics Science, Rural Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany, Computer Science and more. In order to take admissions into BSc specialisations, an applicant must have CUET UG scores. Merit list of the shortlisted candidates will be released upon registering on the university website.

Ans. Admissions into GGU BA English are based on CUET UG exam scores. An applicant must appear for a general test and the English language in order to be eligible for the counselling session and admissions at GGU. It is because CUET UG has a better acceptance rate for the concerned undergraduate courses all around the nation. Therefore, CUET UG is a must have for admissions into UG programs at GGU - Guru Ghasidas University. 

Ans. The admissions in GGU are not based on merit. An applicant has to appear for the CUET UG exam in order to be eligible to apply for any undergraduate course at GGU. Previously, GGU used to conduct VET or Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Test to admit students in GGU courses at UG and PG levels. However, after the introduction of CUET, the university takes into consideration the CUET scores for admissions. Therefore, GGU doesn’t accept admissions on the basis of merit. 

Ans. There is a minimum and maximum age limit for most of the UG and PG programmes at GGU. For UG programmes, an applicant’s minimum age should be at least 16 years. Similarly the maximum age limit is 22 years. Therefore, applicants who satisfy the above the age criteria can apply for GGU BA Political Science course. 

Ans. At GGU the B.Sc Computer Science course has an eligibility of minimum 50% aggregate at 10+2 level with mandatory subjects as Maths. This eligibility criteria must be from a recognised board or equivalent institution with a maximum age limit of 22 years. The GGU PG courses’ selection will be based on the scores of CUET PG. Therefore, the subject combination considered for the admission will be based on computer science or information practises entrance subject paper.

Ans. The graduate aptitude test in engineering (GATE) is held every year for a master's degree in technology. Like every university, GGU takes into consideration GATE scores for M.Tech admissions. However, if there are any vacant seats left in the program, GGU admits non-Gate candidates on the basis of Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Test (VET) scores. 

Ans. GGU is a well recognised university by University Grants Commission (UGC), AICTE, MHRD and more. Therefore, all the programs offered by GGU including M.Tech specialisations are recognised worldwide. The admissions into the MTech program is on the basis of GATE and non-GATE results.

Ans. The mode of application for M.Tech at GGU is completely online. Applicants have to apply on the university website and pay the registration fee. Then, applicants must wait for the merit list announcement on the official website. Then the shortlisted candidates must appear for the counselling session and admission confirmation. 

Ans. The GGU MTech application fee is not refundable. It is because of the university policies that an applicant cannot get a fee waiver or a refund on such fees. However, students can get scholarships on the basis of their academic performances.

Ans. Guru Ghasidas University (GGU) provides scholarships for its enrolled students. However, in the MTech programme, students who do not have GATE scores at the time of application are not entitled for any stipend or scholarships. Therefore, applicants must have GATE scores in order to benefit from the scholarship in different M.Tech specialisations.

Ans. The M.Tech course fee at GGU is the same for every applicant, irrespective of the place of application. Therefore, applicants from outside Chhattisgarh or Bilaspur district, do not face any extra fee for the said program. Ans. GGU has PG courses under more than 30 departments. The PG courses range from various fields in Humanities, Science, Commerce and more. The admissions to the post graduate courses are based on CUET PG scores only. Therefore, appearing for CUET PG is mandatory for admissions under the GGU PG courses. 

Ans. GGU MBA admissions are based on the scores achieved in CUET PG. an applicant must have at least 50% marks (General category) in the previous UG or PG degree. There is no separate personal interview or presentation round for MBA. Moreover, the reserved category applicants are given a relaxation of up to 5% at the time of admissions and more according to the rule of GGU. 

Ans. Among the 32 departments and 11 schools, GGU has a dedicated School of Law. Under the School of Law, the university offers various integrated bachelor’s and master’s programs in law. The courses range from various UG and PG levels courses such as B.A. LLB, B.Com. LLB, LLM and more. The selection criteria for the law courses is based on the CUET UG and PG scores.

Ans. GGU offers LLB under BA LLB and B.Com. LLB programs. Admissions in the Law courses at GGU are based on CUET PG scores. Any other entrance exam marks will not be considered by GGU for LLB or LLM. 

Ans. The course must be paid after the counselling session against each merit list. The course fees for different courses must be paid online via QR scanner/ online payments only. An applicant cannot pay any fee offline. 

Ans. An applicant desirous of a postgraduate degree must be at least 19 years old as of July 1, 2024. Applications from below the above-mentioned age will not be considered.

Ans. GGU offers PhD programmes in many specialisations. In order to get admission in a PhD program, an applicant has to appear for the entrance exam and a personal interview/presentation round. The selection criteria is a combination of both the rounds.

Ans. The minimum duration of a PhD program at GGU is 3 years. These three years include coursework. The maximum duration can be up to 6 years from the date of admission. 

Ans. Applicants from the SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled category, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) argument, 5% relaxation on the entrance test. There is no intimation of age relaxation for PhD programmes at GGU.

Ans. Applicants for the GGU PhD program do not get a fee waiver on the application or registration fee. It is because of the university policy, the fee is not refundable.

Ans. GGU PhD applicants who have a valid NET JRF/GATE scores can apply under the VRET-Exempted Category. The scores of NET JRF/GATE will be taken into consideration by the university. 

Ans. GGU offers PhD programmes in more than 20 specialisations. These specialisations range from subjects like Humanities, Languages, Science and Technology, Commerce and more.
