The curriculum here is very accurate to the need to the field of law. The curriculum also focus the need of practical knowlegde therefore we also have various field and court visit. We have Mid sems of 40 marks and end sems of 60marks. And 100 marks for project, seminar and assignment, which makes it a total of 200.
Everything right now at NLU, Assam is great. Although there were problems at the inception but it needs to be taken into consideration that Rome wasn't built in a day and the best fruit takes the longest time to reap.
Fees is pretty high which would not be feasible for most of the people. Being a government college, its very unusual to have a fees like that. The total fees amounts to somewhat nearly 2 lakhs every year. There is transparency in the fee breakdown.
The fees is a bit expensive. As it is in all other NLUs. It is 2 lakhs 19 thousand for the first year and one. Lakh eighty one thousand 500 for the rest of the rest of the years. A detailed fee structure has been given below: Admission Fee 5000 One Time Examination Fee 6000 Per Annum Tuition Fee 75000 Per Annum Student Bar Association Fee 2500 One Time Journals Fee 2500 Per Annum Campus Development Fee 5000 Per Annum Moot Court Fee 5000 Per Annum Library Fee 5000 Per Annum Internet Services Charges 8000 Per Annum Internship Placement Fee 5000 Per Annum Student Welfare Fund 5000 Per Annum Hostel Rent and Amenities Fee 30000 Per Annum Fee Structure for LL.M. One year’s Course: Admission Fee 5000 One Time Term Papers and Dissertation Fee 5000 Per Annum Examinations Fee 4000 Per Annum Campus Development Fee 5000 Per Annum Tuition Fee 50000 Per Annum Library Fee 5000 Per Annum Internet Services Charges 8000 Per Annum Internship / Placement Fee 5000 Per Annum Journals Fee 2500 Per Annum Student Welfare Fund 5000 Per Annum Hostel Rent and Amenities Fee 30000 Per Annum
The fees for the first year is ?2,15,000 and from the next year onwards it is ?1,76,500. Though the fees is pricy and may seem more than what a few other NLUs charge, it is only feasible according to the rates of commodities in the NE (which according to my observation is more than mainstream India).
