National Education Foundation Law College, also known as NEF Law College, is a private institute established in the year 2006. Located in Guwahati, Assam, NEF Law College is considered as one of the finest platforms of Law Education in the Eastern part of the country. Some of the important admission details are as follows:
- The basic eligibility criteria for admissions to five years integrated courses is that candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with 45% aggregate marks for general, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST categories and aged not more than 20 years for general and 22 Years for SC/ST categories. However, admissions are based on the candidate's performance in the NLET entrance exam conducted by the college itself and selection is purely on merit basis.
- Admissions to LLB courses are based on the merit list of the marks obtained in the graduation. To be eligible for LLB course, candidates must have a Graduation degree in any discipline from an affiliated university securing at least 45% of the total marks for general, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST and aged not more than 30 years for general and 35 years for SC/ST/OBC categories.
- Admissions to LLM courses shall be decided on the basis of a Written Law Entrance Test conducted by the Guwahati University and selection is purely on merit basis. The basic eligibility criteria is LLB or five year integrated law degree from an affiliated university securing at least 50% for general and 45% for SC/ST.
How to Apply?
Candidates are basically required to register themselves in the Admission Portal by providing the necessary details.
- Visit the official college website and navigate to the admission tab.
- Click on ‘Form & Prospectus’ under the ‘Download’ section.
- Click on the desired course’s form link and download the form in the ‘PDF’ format.
- Fill the necessary details asked correctly and submit the application form along with the required documents mentioned below:
- Birth Certificate or HSLC or equivalent examination certificate.
- HSLC or HS or equivalent examination Mark sheets and Pass Certificate.
- Degree Mark sheet and Pass Certificate (if not passed Five Year Integrated Program).
- LL.B. / Five Year Law Mark sheets and Pass Certificate (for LL.M. only).
- Transfer Certificate.
- Caste / Tribe Certificate (if applicable).
- Migration Certificate (wherever applicable / can be submitted after admission).
- This is followed by the payment of your Application Fee online, which is a sum total of INR 500 , as prompted by the portal. You are allowed to pay via Credit/Debit Card, Online Banking, Wallet or UPI.
You will receive the confirmation page of your admission form as soon as the payment is made. You can print it out. Simultaneously, you will receive an SMS, containing the link to your admission portal, to your registered mobile number. After the review and verification of your eligibility, the concerned person from the Admission Office shall contact you for any further actions.

The college offers a scholarship of Merit-cum-Means to five meritorious and deserving students with one reserved for the female students. Eligible students from other states are also offered Post-Matric scholarships. SC/ST candidates from Assam are also eligible for scholarships from the Govt. of Assam. Rather minority community students can also gain their Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. The College along with the NEF Trust has taken a bold provision of providing waiver tuition fee to poor and meritorious students or in case of unfortunate demise of his/her parents while pursuing any course in the college.

One of my senior suggested me to apply to this college whereas my cousin sister did her LLB course in this college so I decided to take my admission in this college. And I didn't applied to other colleges because I wanted to study here only and for that I have to give entrance NEFLCET

- The college has flexible attendence which can be adjusted to 75% attendence if we pay extra fees of absent fines .
- Since i stay in PG which is near to my college , i usually enjoy going classes .
Dislikes
- The college has very less compound which makes it conjusted . Also the college is situated at such a location where the floods usually takes place .
- The college fees are very expensive for a middle class family like me . Also the facilities provided by the college as compared to the amounf of fees paid , it is totally unreasonably high price tag .

I first applied for the Gauhati University and got through but since gauhati university is a very far away place from the heart of the city i choose the NEF law college because of its accessible to township and also the nearest to the transportation areas . I did not get any rejection from other colleges since i applied only for Gauhati university and Nef Law college . The admisson process at NEF is easy since it is a private college which is mostly focused on making profits over lesser risk . The college takes an open admission where it is a first come first basis .

- The college is a professional course based college and hence it has a lot of potential.
- The environment is very good and the faculty is highly professional.
Dislikes
- Less interactive in terms of exams and problem solving
- Less productivity leads to less knowledge
Admission:
The admission prosess was a simple one since the marks obtained by me was quite above the cut off marks of the college. They were very helpful. The formalities were done within no time and the payment system was without a hitch.

- The faculty and their way of teaching. They will help you even 1 night before exam
- Best part I liked the mostvis the flexibility. Either do internship or class as you wish

- The small campus of our can't even park bike properly
- How the Tribal people get scholarship. I hate this in our college

Eligibility- Get 60% above in Hs first come first serve Contact them after results You would get benefit only if you have ews Exam every 6months for years Traditional admission process no improvement required i suppose

- Our curriculum is at par with that of any NLUs and almost all our professors have 10+ years of teaching experience.
Dislikes
- Well, our course curriculum is at par with that of NLUs but sadly Infra is no where close to it.
Admission:
Apart from 60% in 12th, the college also had an entrance exam and CLAT score was also considered. Though CLAT was not mandatory but students who gave that were also considered for admissions. Forms were available online and it was just a 10 minutes task to fill it and submit the form. Admission confirmation too was quick and therefore the tirn around time to entire process was less than a week.

- The teaching staff are very intellectual and disciplined.
Dislikes
- The college campus is not as spacious as other colleges.
- The classrooms lack projectors and smart boards for digital learning.

The BBA LLB (5years) is eligible for all those 10+2 passed students who have got a minimum of 45%. The application form is available both online and offline (from the college). The application fee is 500 rupees. The application of forms are available after the completion of every semester. The application is quite accessible and easy to begin with so there isn't any improvement I would like to suggest
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is governed by the Gauhati University and it is a well planned one. The college boast of a well educated, well informed professors having relevant educational qualifications in their respective field. The Academic is well sought, my brownie point to the teacher who are quite regular in their teaching and always, ALWAYS everready to solve any doubt. Trust me on this.

It is the good colkege to get the degree and perform yourself out in the practical aspect.

No extracurricular activity. The college have a small area of environment as there's no open campus with the college, the rooms are of limited in size and the structure of the buildings is like the hotel

Presently, M liking my college It has all the good ways, one thing I would like to complain is about the washrooms, There sould be more mumber of wasrooms im respect of the students and thet must be cleaned everyday.

llb 3 years full fees
The first year fee is INR 75 thousand. The second and third year fees are the same INR 55 thousand.
