I have an interest in the electronics branch due to good placement in HBTU with an average of 9.5lakhs per annum. The faculty is very educated in my college. Most of the professors are postgraduate and PhD holders from IITs and NITs. The exams are done on the dates given in the academic calendar of the college.

I choose Electronics Engineering as it is an ever-green branch if you are talking in terms of placement. There are six major subjects in every Semester and a total of 8 semesters and there is one teacher of every batch which usually contains 70 to 80 students. All the faculties that are teaching us Ph.D. holders are from different colleges. There are two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam held every semester and all of these are held according to the schedule provided by the respective authority.

My course is Btech in the ET branch. ET stands for electronic in HBTU. I chose it because I had interested in logical circuits and devices. Electronic is having combined department with electrical. Although the electronics department is in progress. Within 2-3 years electronics will have a separate department. The strength of faculties is average. Around 10-15 professors are there in the ET department. There are 70-75 students in each class. The qualifications of teachers are fairly good. Almost all have done MTech and some are with Ph.D. too. The exam is there after every 2_3 months and passing is very easy, although scoring very well is also difficult.

With an increase in demand for chips in the growing world where electric vehicle is the new future, electronics is a branch with unlimited scope. The teachers are also really experienced and have in-depth knowledge of the subject.
Choosing a particular college or a department actually depends on you, and how you want to shape your career ahead. Having known some people who study in both these institutions, I can say that they all have their fair share of strengths and weaknesses.
I might not be able to help you select one among them, because they are both good in their own ways. So, I will share some information about them which might help you make the choice.
Categories | Electrical Engineering at HBTU | ECE at IET Lucknow |
Course Fee | 5.17 lakhs | 3.44 lakhs |

Average CTC | 16 LPA | 8-9 LPA |
