Placement:

For my course, the entry-level salary starts from 22,000 pounds per annum and goes up to 32,000 pounds. Many students go further to do PHDs as well as the university provides opportunities for the same.

I primarily chose Queen Mary University due to its research-oriented approach towards academics. I had an eagle eye on the curriculum for my specific course and the teaching methodology they employed. It is also a Russell group university which gives it prestige. I chose the UK as it is the best for my course- English Literature, specifically London, as it is the city for arts and writing. In conclusion, it was a great experience and taught me a plethora of things besides academics.

Placement:

There are no placements hosted by the university itself, you have to find a job on your own however you can get help with designing your CV according to UK standards and also help as there are career counselors provided.

I chose this university because the fees were not that high, and it ranked in the top 50 in the world, hence I went for this university. I also reached out to past graduates, they described it as a good university of finance as well and hence I went for it.

Placement:

They don't have any placements but you can always ask around and learn more from your professors.

Overall, it was a good experience but since there was less awareness from the university I struggled to know services that could have made my experience more worthwhile.

There is no help from the university for placement although the university does have the careers department which can provide help with the CV & cover letter. Rest, we need to reach out to the recruiters.

I chose Queen Mary University of London because it provides one of the best course structures for Intellectual Property Rights and all the renowned professors taught in this university. I overall really liked my experience at this university, which was really great in terms of academics as LLM is more inclined towards academia and it fulfilled all the criteria of developing a deeper understanding of the subject and developing my own dissertation and also because all my professors were very helpful. I chose this particular program ( Intellectual Property Rights) because most of my interests have been carved around IPR through my internships and publications and I further want to pursue PhD in this subject thus I was inclined to choose this subject.

Placement:

I am yet to complete this process. Work -ex helps. Hard for freshers. Try and get relevant experience by doing projects by your own specifically for tech roles. University posts industrial internships on their page and try and get them for maximum experience.

Internship:

Standard technical round + Interview round for industrial internship. Stipend at London living wage ~ 11 GBP/hour. A data company in London.

Placement:

Many prominent companies visit the university. They offer graduate roles to most of the students. The average salary is around £30,000 a year. Most the students find a job in 3-4 months after graduation.

The Post-study placements is mainly depended on the students enthusiasm and dedication towards their field. There are too many opportunities which could be gained with hard work and dedication.

Internship:

The course is so vast and time taking that it won't allow for any internships or Co-ops as the research hours for the course based project would be full-time hours.

QMUL foster a strong alumni community and facilitate alumni-student connections can enhance post-study placement prospects. For students interested in research, the availability of research opportunities within the program or university is crucial. Research-active faculty, well-funded research programs, and access to research facilities and resources provide students with valuable experiences and enhance their prospects for further studies or research-related careers.

Internship:

No, my area is PHD - I taught as a job. Placement:

Descent opportunities for jobs in London in general. But depend on market condition, right now market is not so good for jobs.

During my time at QMUL, I had the privilege to represent the University at international rounds of Price Media Law Moot Court Competition held at University of Oxford. I was fortunate to have got an opportunity to participate in Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition of Herbert Smith Freehills, London and training workshop of Allen and Overy, London. I owe it to my alma mater, QMUL for making a difference to my life and in further development of my intellectual capabilities.

Internship:

I was not able to secure any internship during my LL.M. at QMUL. I had applied for internships and jobs but as everything was competitive, other international applicants with additional qualifications had edge over me. It was however a very enriching experience to subject yourself to the application procedures and understand the way of working of people in UK.
