I am yet to complete this process. Work -ex helps. Hard for freshers. Try and get relevant experience by doing projects by your own specifically for tech roles. University posts industrial internships on their page and try and get them for maximum experience.

Internship:

Standard technical round + Interview round for industrial internship. Stipend at London living wage ~ 11 GBP/hour. A data company in London.

Placement:

Many prominent companies visit the university. They offer graduate roles to most of the students. The average salary is around £30,000 a year. Most the students find a job in 3-4 months after graduation.

My experience in this university is wonderful.

The Post-study placements is mainly depended on the students enthusiasm and dedication towards their field. There are too many opportunities which could be gained with hard work and dedication.

The course is so vast and time taking that it won't allow for any internships or Co-ops as the research hours for the course based project would be full-time hours.

No, my area is PHD - I taught as a job. Descent opportunities for jobs in London in general. But depend on market condition, right now market is not so good for jobs.

During my time at QMUL, I had the privilege to represent the University at international rounds of Price Media Law Moot Court Competition held at University of Oxford. I was fortunate to have got an opportunity to participate in Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition of Herbert Smith Freehills, London and training workshop of Allen and Overy, London. I owe it to my alma mater, QMUL for making a difference to my life and in further development of my intellectual capabilities.

Internship:

I was not able to secure any internship during my LL.M. at QMUL. I had applied for internships and jobs but as everything was competitive, other international applicants with additional qualifications had edge over me. It was however a very enriching experience to subject yourself to the application procedures and understand the way of working of people in UK.

I STARTED APPLYING JUST AFTER I LANDED IN LONDON, I GOT INTERSHIP IN ONE OF THE START UP CALLED RESONANCEX PVT LTD. I HAVE TO CLEAR TWO ROUND OF HR AND TECHINCAL INTERVIEW. INTEVIEWERS WERE LESS EXPERIENCED IN DATA SCIENCE, I GOT AROUND 700 POUNDS PER MONTHS

Placement:

I'm not too sure about this yet as i didn't apply for a course with a placement year. However, my university offers employability workshops as well as one-to-one career counselling if needed.

I chose QMUL as it is a good university in the UK especially for the course that i'm doing. It is also not that far from where i'm staying especially compared to the other universities I applied to. Lastly, it is one of the Russell group universities in the UK which are research-intensive, which will help me with the course i'm doing.

Placement:

The alumni networking for job referrals is not very strong although many events were held for career counselling.

Internship:

I interned in Billingsgate Seafood School and receiver no stipend. The overall process was very good and I learnt a lot.

Placement:

Help in building a CV, many job fairs and networking events conducted, talks from several industry giants, one on one advice provided for a career change and entrepreneurship.
