  • Dislikes:
  • Initially, the location posed some challenges, but once I formed connections and made friends, the experience became truly enjoyable. Later on, I started enjoying the calmness.

Course Curriculum:

"The course structure is updated almost every year, ensuring relevance and practicality. The structure is well-suited for students from non-management backgrounds. The program offers valuable industrial exposure through the Management Consulting project in Spain and internship opportunities. Additionally, students receive Lean Six Sigma certification and the course is CMI accredited. Cranfield University's research reputation is outstanding. Students have the option to choose between an internship and an internship-based thesis or a traditional thesis. The word count for the internship-based thesis is shorter than that of the traditional thesis. Each student is assigned an academic supervisor to assist with the thesis, and those working on internship theses also have an industrial supervisor from the company they are affiliated with."

Courses in Cranfield are up to date and the structure is shuffled regularly. During our lectures, people from various industries were invited to give us an idea about how the theoretical aspects fit into a real-world scenario. The course though extremely intensive is stimulating and enjoyable.

The course is good, but requires a lot of input and could be very difficult. It is not taught and evaluated like Indian courses. So be prepaired to meet the challenge head on.

Course Curriculum:

As mentioned earlier, the curriculum of the course is based more on practical methods rather than theory. For example, one of the courses which is Flight Experimental Methods - required us to conduct in-flight experiments (we had about 7 flights) and process the data collected to study aircraft performance. We had several guest lectures conducted by hands-on people in the industry who could give a clear picture of what is expected of us when we enter the industry. The research project which runs in the second half of the course was a major learning curve for me during the course tenure. It requires you to step out of your comfort zone and push your limits to the fullest.
