- One aspect I dislike about the University of Leeds is the occasional administrative inefficiency, which can lead to delays and frustrations in handling student queries and processes.,
- Additionally, the large campus size can sometimes make it challenging to navigate and foster a sense of community among all students.
Overview:
I chose this college because of university ranking, academic ranking, employment opportunities along with ranking, multi cultural etc. The University of Leeds offers a vibrant academic environment, renowned for research excellence and diverse programs. Students enjoy a dynamic campus life with extensive support services, cultural activities, and state-of-the-art facilities. The city’s rich history and thriving social scene enhance the overall student experience, fostering personal and professional growth.

Tuition Fee: 29000 pounds but for this year 32000 pounds.

- The University of Leeds provides a lot of help and the city doesn't disappoint you, it helps you settle down easily.,
- People are kind and very helpful all around the campus and city.,
- The University encouraged us to attend several networking events and even took initiative to organize them as well.
- Dislikes:
- The university should be more specific about their course structure.,
- There should be options for several modules as people come from different academic backgrounds.
Overview:
The University of Leeds has a decent rank and is situated in a beautiful city with loads to give you as a student. It is small enough to understand British culture. The course that they were providing was unique and exactly what I wanted. The overall experience was filled with ups and downs but it has made me a different person altogether. It is not only about completing my master's but also studying abroad has made me a better and stronger person. It was challenging but there was so much to learn and adapt to along with studies.
Fees:
The figure may vary from year to year. For me it was 25,000 pounds. This was only the tuition fees, the stay is separate.
- Likes:
- I love my city, amazing professors, incredible opportunities that university provides.,
- I love how understanding they are when it comes to mental health and managing my workload.
- Dislikes:
- I dislike how I have to climb a literal hill to get to my university.,
- I dislike how I have to fill a million forms to get a simple permission and how small their threshold is for plagiarism check.
Overview:
This university has specific modules I wanted to study and the university is ranked among top 100 in the world. What I love the most about my university is that there is help for literally everything you need, be it academic help, job opportunities guidance, mental health, financial health etc. I chose my program because I wanted to join the pharmaceutical industry and this course is the absolute foundation for it. Overall, I am glad I took a risk to come this far from my comfortable zone. I am now capable of doing things, I never thought I could do. I love how I have experienced what UK universities have to offer and now I cannot wait to make my impact in the world.
Fees:
30,000 pounds. I guess it increased for the upcoming year though.
- Likes:
- University of Leeds was among the top 10 universities of the Russell group, the university let me tailor the course according to my needs, I heard the faculty was great from previous students, Leeds as a city was great to live in and was affordable as well.,
- The university's constant involvement in their students' growth a with a great feedback system was a highlight.
- Dislikes:
- As mentioned earlier, there was no placement cell of the university. It held fairs but they weren't enough as they just helped discovering potential companies that a person can apply to. But without a dedicated placement cell, it becomes very tough for foreign students.
Overview:
The university was resourceful and helped expanding my network. Academics were great and I felt I was supported throughout. I was majorly disappointed about the placement opportunities that the university failed to bring for their study abroad students. That diminishes your ROI greatly.
Fees:
24500 GBP

- Dislikes:
- Moving class to class in a different building is quite a hastle in this university. There is quite an uphill even between the buildings making it very tiring.
Overview:
University experience is really good. You have plenty of students with similar backgrounds trying to understand the same topics you can discuss with each other. University have some doubt clearing sessions which help to grasp topic in more depth.
Fees:
Tuition fee: 29000 Pounds
- Likes:
- Firstly, I was biased towards the global ranking of the university where The University of Leeds was one of the top choices in my list for the UK. Secondly, talking about the program I chose at this university was well-aligned with my interests. Furthermore, after doing a bit more research about the options I had, I realised that Leeds City may provide me with better opportunities than the other options I had at the time of taking the decision.,
- The quality of education and support for students. The University provides you with many resources which can be used to enhance your skills and knowledge. The classes seem interesting and the teaching is friendly. Teachers and fellow mates are very supportive. There is a bit of diversity also in class (not at the level though it would be but a little bit only) with makes learning more interesting.
- Dislikes:
- The classes are not as diverse as I thought they would be. Other than this the campus is also not as big and widespread as my expectations but in general, it is a nice campus. The fee is high, as I feel that the quality of education is good but I feel the fee is high.
Overview:
I will say my all over experience is good. The university is lively though there are not so many events on campus but the infrastructure is good where I can have a good time. The quality of education is satisfactory but considering the cost it feels overvalued.
Fees:
31500 pounds for 1 year course to be precise.
- Likes:
- The University ranking and the fact that it was a research intensive university and is a part of the Russel group. The course and the modules were of interest to me. Apart from this I also researched about the city and found it to be a student city.
Fees:
25K GBP
Campus Life:
There are a lot of extracurricular activities to get involved in giving you the opportunity to explore different cultures, meet new people etc. it’s a very lively campus with lots of events planned throughout the year.
- Likes:
- The availability of resources, opportunity and diversity makes the learning environment enjoyable and easy. Teachers are always keen to help you find your way through feedback support not spoon-feeding everything down the throat which increases the students' creative and analytical thinking capacity.,
- Leeds is undoubtedly one of the top-ranking universities in the UK and the world, which is also shown year-on-year by different ranking institutions. Broad and well-constructed research environment, a chance to work with highly qualified and diverse teaching and research fraternity in the world.
- Dislikes:
- One thing that I don't like about Leeds is the transport facility in here, although the University is quite close to the city centre still the transportation specially intracity sucks. The city is literally full of students which make it happening but really not good many times for a calm person like me.
Overview:
Leeds is super compact, I'd highly suggest attending each and every event your university does for international students. Highly diverse and its motto of inclusion makes it different and lovable all together.
Fees:
I am working full time and hence need not to pay any fees.
- Likes:
- I have been working in teaching and digital education sector and would love to further my career in that specific sector.,
- Curriculum content that gives a niche approach to whoever plans to study and develop career progression.,
- Student’s diversity (many international students networks and a lot of intercultural events held in Leeds.,
- Hall of Residences for international students are great and making it easier to enjoy the student experience (the one handled and taken care directly by the university)
- Dislikes:
- Slow administrative process, especially for International students’ issues. I have had issues with extending my student visas and the university gave a really slow response and generic answers without giving any concrete solutions to initiate discussions on what to do to help delicate situation involving student’s education journey
Overview:
It was really good. Just wanted to point out that they should give more improvements for their administrative systems on International students, especially with the amount of students abroad that is coming to Leeds to study here.
Fees:
£20,250 per year (1 year study for Masters) Apx £8000 per year for the hall of residences Apx £1000/month for living costs
Overview:
When I applied I needed a LOR from the colleges and SOP, CV, IELTS score. If you are really good in English like from the childhood for 12th class if you got 90 marks you don't need IELTS score that I needed. If your CV and SOP is really good they will give you a confirmation letter. UK process is very easy and you don't have to wait too much. They will tell you that ya you are like given an invitation letter for the course or not and whatever like I applied for Canada also I got a very late acceptance letter when I was in Leeds so I got an acceptance letter. There is no point to get in there now. That's why I know about the UK, Netherlands and the Canada, their education system and what is the process, letters how much needed requirements so I know very well.
Campus Life:
First of all they help you in CV and cover letters and every for example Christmas parties Diwali party Holi party everything is based by the university and team you will never felt leaving outside like when you have good friends.
