I came to RIT Roorkee from Bihar for my MBA and I want to write this review specifically for students from Bihar and UP

I had never left India. The college sent our batch to Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok — one of Asia's top universities. We attended classes taught by international professors, studied with students from across Asia and received 3 internationally recognised certifications.

In my experience at RIT, I got good exposure to internship opportunities along with my regular academics. The college’s placement and training team helped students understand available internship options and guided us according to our interests and career goals. As an MBA student, I found opportunities related to areas like marketing, HR, finance and sales particularly useful. Internships helped me understand how concepts that we study in class actually work in a professional environment. I also got the opportunity to improve my communication, teamwork and practical problem-solving skills. I would suggest students actively participate in internship drives and industry-related activities because they add valuable practical experience to your profile.

The placement opportunities at Roorkee Institute of Technology are quite diverse, with a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that supports students through resume building, mock interviews, career guidance and recruitment drives. According to the institute’s current placement information, the 2026 batch has recorded placements across different sectors, with an average package of around ₹8 LPA and the highest package of ₹22 LPA. The institute also lists recruiters such as Cognizant, Finastra, Sopra Steria, KPMG, EY and Voltas.

The fees at RIT Roorkee are genuinely affordable — my family was not under pressure. The NAAC A++ accreditation meant my degree has real credibility. The IIT and IIM trained faculty meant the quality of teaching was something I had only experienced in coaching institutes before. And then came the AIT Thailand international exchange.

No college in Bihar or UP offers this. No college in Uttarakhand offers this at this fee. The combination of affordability, NAAC A++ quality, faculty credentials and now international exposure makes RIT Roorkee MBA the best option for students from our states who want a world class MBA without a world class price tag.

For students coming from Bihar, I would recommend checking the hostel rules, room-sharing arrangements, mess timings, fee structure and available facilities before finalising accommodation. Regarding food, the hostel mess provides regular meals with a rotating menu covering basic breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. The quality and taste can vary from day to day, but overall it is convenient for students who prefer having meals on campus rather than cooking themselves

I chose Roorkee Institute of Technology because it offered the course I wanted with a good balance of academics, practical exposure, campus facilities and affordability. While comparing it with other colleges I had applied to, I found RIT suitable in terms of location, course structure, infrastructure, faculty support and overall learning environment. The faculty members at Roorkee Institute of Technology are generally supportive, approachable, and helpful towards students. The faculty-to-student ratio is satisfactory, and students can discuss their academic doubts with teachers during and after classes. The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical concepts and practical learning relevant to the industry. Regular assignments, practicals, internal assessments and presentations help students prepare for the final examinations. The examination system is systematic, with internal and end-semester examinations conducted as per the academic schedule. The difficulty level of exams is generally moderate, and students who attend classes regularly and prepare consistently can perform well. The marking scheme includes internal assessments, assignments, practical work and semester examinations, providing students with multiple opportunities to improve their overall academic performance.

Yes, the admission process at RIT consists of three rounds. The first round is a written assessment where candidates are asked questions such as why they want to pursue an MBA and about their career goals. The second round is video verification, where students have to introduce themselves and provide basic details about their academic background and interests. The final round is a personal interview, where the admission team discusses the candidate’s education, motivation for pursuing an MBA, and future plans. Roorkee has a relatively relaxed nightlife compared with larger cities, but students have several options for spending evenings with friends. There are cafes, restaurants, lounges and rooftop dining spaces around Civil Lines and the IIT Roorkee area There are also sports facilities, gym, recreational areas and common spaces inside the campus where students can relax and interact. So, although RIT Roorkee does not have a typical metropolitan-style nightlife, hostel life provides plenty of opportunities to socialize in the evenings.
