Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is slighty old in terms of age but there are updates being made that are branch specific like more detailed electronics in the electrical lab like diodes and other relevant experiments. The mid sem and end sem carry 30 and 50 marks respectively and end sem is slightly more easier than the first

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of each year is 125000 for academic fees and 60000 is for hostel fees, I get a scholarship of 83000 as my family comes under the bracket of 5L annual income. The 125000 includes labs fees, sports fees and all other fees. There is a set fees of 13000 in the first year

Campus Life

5

There are 4 Main events in the college namely DG in start of November, aarohi in late November which is the biggest cultural fest of our college Next is ig in the start of March which goes on for 10 days it's the annual departmental fest of the college followed by axis the tech fest biggest after tech fest by IIT Bombay

Admission

The main reason I picked this college was I couldn't secure a better combination of college and branch in any other nit hence I picked mining in VNIT The exam I have to come here was jee mains in which I scored a 96.5%ile

Faculty

3

The faculty are really experienced and talented but most fail to deliver the same knowledge to the students most of teachers have a really vast knowledge Bank but not the best at teaching There are 2 exams namely mid sems and end sems where marks 30 and 50 are carried respectively

Night Life

4

In the first year there is an intime of 8 pm and hence cannot explore the nightlife whereas the same is removed once you enter second year where you only have a campus intime of 1030, there is street food available near the main gate and the there are brands like dominos Subway and pizza hut nearby

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
