Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum was outdated. It was as per Nagpur university curriculum. We had all old and outdated subjects. We had good frequency of exams. One internal exam at mid semester and another at the end. After that, we had a grand university exam.

Placement Experience

3

The placement scene was average. Most of my friends got placed but at a basic package. One of my friends got a high package of 7 lakhs per annum. But the interesting part was that he was regularly irregular to the college. He got placed just because of his skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees was almost Rs 1 lakh 40000 per year. I was a general category student. For obc students and ews students, the fees were Rs 50000 per year. For sc and st students, the fees were Rs 5000 per year. Caution amount was 10000 rs and it was refundable at the end of the course. University fees was 1200 rs per semester. Exam fees was another 1300 rs per semester.

Campus Life

1

We had a sports and cultural week in our college. But no regular sports and cultural activities were conducted. Extracurriculars were a joke at our college. We didnt have any hobby during our college life. Social life really sucked.

Admission

I chose this college because this was a college with good placements at the time of our joining. But it all changed due to recession in United States. I expected it to be good as toppers in Nagpur mainly chose this college.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio was really bad. In the final year, both the sections of Computer engineering were asked to sit in one class. Too many people in one class. For our juniors, faculty has asked boys and girls to sit separately. Teaching is good. Lab facilities are good but have to be improved a lot.

Night Life

1

I wasnt a hostel student. But the facilities at our college for nightlife were subpar. We had a night life for 2 days for insight. There also nothing much happens over there. There is nothing as nightlife in my college. No amazing spots. Nothing.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
