Remarks :
Large number of Placements is a big positive here. The CIR department trains us for the placement which gives us a familiar face of interview before hand itself. Just saying a drawback I think the food in the hostel could be improved a bit.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Amrita being a deemed university has its own syllabus and the course is based on it. We also have a special value education program on Indian culture in our course which is also a 2 credit subject which provides us a bright insight to indian history.The exam pattern here mainly consists of 3 exams, 2 periodicals and 1 semester exam which constitutes one Semester, like that in engineering we have 8 semesters of which 2 semesters constitute a year
Placement Experience :
Amrita has very high% of placements. Here we have a placement cell known as CIR which train us for the placement hence worth making us qualitatively appropriate for the interviews and placements. We have model exams and technical mock interviews based on patter of different companies of placement
College Events :
Many festivals are given importance here due to the cultural heritage and students from different states to are studying here as such 1. Onam 2. Vishu 3. Ugadi 4. Dushhera 5. Diwali 6. Ganesh Chaturthi 7. Holi
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Due to high benifits and 90% placements the fee structure is a bit expensive ranging 2.4lakh per annum but people with high ranks in AEEE exams are eligible for scholarships upto 90% which makes ranging to nearly 20k per annum
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are many scholarships offered by college to students having top ranks in AEEE such as 1-8k. Scholarships worth 90%-25% are given which is being a very big merit to studious students. Various study loans are also being allotted to students with 8+ CGPA
Campus Life :
Here they provide a good support for extra curricular activites. For most games here there are respective coaches who trains students for inter amrita tournaments and many other open tournaments hence making the best sportsman out of each student.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel infrastructure and facilities are good enough. But the food being completely vegetarian is very difficult for many to adapt. But it is permitted to go out and eat. The college ground is also situated very near to the hostel.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yup. Each year there used to be a speaking sessions with seniors and aluminis. Many aluminis are also working as prof in the college also College also provides a public speaking session with the topper of respective departments
Admission :
Admission to the college is based on AEEE examination conducted by amrita and rank list is purely based on it. For the engineering streams here in Amrita there are basically 3 colleges 1 Ettimadai 2.Amritapuri 3.Banglore I ended with a rank of 20k and was able to secure a seat in mechanical engineering in Amritapuri campus Kerala
Faculty :
Highly educated efficient faculties, Especially our department faculties are very friendly and kind hearted. We can approach them any time a day. Many our aluminis of our college who can vigoursly guide us through this 4 years
