Course Curriculum Overview

First thing is I was from Commerce stream ,second one I was also Persuing my CA along with my college that's why I choose that course because CA course majorly covers syllabus of b.com honours so that's why it was easy for me . B.com honours offers a more focused and rigorous curriculum compared to general b.com students can specialise in accounting, finance, taxation or business analytics.

Fees and Financial Aid

I took admission in year 2021 in B.com Honours & at that time I paid ?12500 which included admission fees & examination fees also for 2021-2022, for 2022- 2023 i paid same amount ?12500 for 1 year & for 3rd year also I paid same amount. There were no scholarships as 12500 itself was a very reasonable amount.

Campus Life

Rarely fest happens in this college, which happens those are not so good as compared to other big colleges just like Hindu college, SRCC & many others. The library has different varieties of books to which you can get access free of cost. Teachers majorly use markers for writing on whiteboard. There are many societies in college where you can get a chance to chase your skills.

Admission

I also applied to Kalindi college & my application was also selected there but after getting feedback from my elder cousin i decided to not to go to Kalindi college & then I applied for PGDAV College as the faculties of these colleges are so good that's was the major reason to choose this college.

My course was B.com Honours. Almost all the teachers in my courses were so good, but out of them two were so good: 1. Dr. Rajni Jagota, who is a teacher of Business law, always used to focus on concept clarity; she used to teach us in a very easy manner. 2. He was a teacher of tax, I don't remember his name, but I remembered the method of his teaching; he taught us in a very practical manner so that we can easily understand each provision of income tax in a very easy manner. There were 6 semesters in my course , in every semester there were 4 subjects, each subject contained 100 marks for exam out of 100 marks 25 marks which included; class test, assignment & practicals. This course is relevant for mainly commerce students.

Night Life

There is no hostels for students, so if you want to take admission there you have to find out pg for your self . College is so near by lajpat market where you can try momos of Dolma Aunty & there are many other places where you can go with your friends.

Placement Experience:

The college provides internship opportunities from the 2nd year onwards. The college provides 20-30% definite placements to the students. And almost 80% of students get internship experience and exposure from the college itself. Placement packages are average but also depend on the person and his/her skills. The average package ranges from 2.5-3.5 lacs approximately. Top recruiting companies like AIMS India, Insurance companies, and E&Y. Many more companies visit onboard for the opportunity of Jobs and internships. My immediate step after the degree of graduation is to have practical experience in the real world and work to gain that exposure and have my further studies post that.

I would say that my college is surely a good one its a really prestigious college and after living there for 3 years i get to know why it is that much prestigious. But if there is positive sides there are negative sides as well. College should have to take care of the infrastructure of the college which is quite poor and old too.
