Entrance Preview

My college is a part of Delhi University, so there is no separate entrance examination. Admissions are given on the basis of marks obtained in 12th board examination.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am doing Bachelor of Commerce (hons) which is considered one of the best course of Delhi University. We are taught Business laws, Corporate laws, Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Income tax and laws, Cyber crime and laws, Environmental Studies, Human Resource Management and a lot more. All the subjects are very interesting and helpful in future.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provides internships. These internships helps in bosting up our resume. The general stipend is around 5000-10000, depending upon the course.

Placement Experience

3

Many companies such as Infosys technologies, Wipro technologies, Wipro, Infotech, Accounting Corporates etc come to our college for placements and job opportunities. The job opportunities are quite good. Delhi University have separate placement cell also.

College Events

4

Many events are celebrated in our college. There are many societies of the college. Each society organises different functions. Many games are played like treasure hunt, advertisement quiz, accounting tambola etc. Fests are also organised and celebrities are invited in them too.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some scholarships for the girls students or more the Schedule casts, schedule tribes or Other backwards. But there are no scholarships for the general students.

Campus Life

5

There is a girl quota in our college. Year ago It was 3% I.e. girls enjoy 3% relaxation in the cutoff but this year is was reduced to 1%. Therefore, there are more girls in my class than the boys which is very good. Ragging is strictly band.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are no hostels in our college. But the students can live in the Delhi University's hostel. It's in Indira Vihar, near GTB Nagar. Else Paying Guest's are there near the college. There rental comes around 10000 per month including the mess.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the senior students are very helpful. Alumni parties are organised every year. Ragging is strictly prohibited. The seniors acts just like our friends and helps in everything.

Exam Structure

Internal exams of 25 marks are held in which 5 marks are for the attendance, 10 marks for assignments and 10 marks for tests. 75 marks external exams are held. The external exams are held by the Delhi University and internal exams are held by the colleges. The exams are quite chilled.

Admission

I scored 95% in my 12th boards and qualified the cutoff of the course in this particular college and got the admission. I had no problem while taking admission, thanks to the staff.Cutoff was released by the colleges, those students qualifying the cutoff criteria were able to take the admission. Proper quize were there. The staff was very helpful. Seniors were there to guide us.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of our college is well qualified. All the teachers gives us knowledge apart from the syllabus too. They are very helping. They have a great knowledge about their particular subjects. But some of the teachers are not good at teaching. They are short tempered, which destroys the name of the college. Otherwise the faculty is very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First thing is I was from Commerce stream ,second one I was also Persuing my CA along with my college that's why I choose that course because CA course majorly covers syllabus of b.com honours so that's why it was easy for me . B.com honours offers a more focused and rigorous curriculum compared to general b.com students can specialise in accounting, finance, taxation or business analytics.

Placement Experience:

The college provides internship opportunities from the 2nd year onwards. The college provides 20-30% definite placements to the students. And almost 80% of students get internship experience and exposure from the college itself. Placement packages are average but also depend on the person and his/her skills. The average package ranges from 2.5-3.5 lacs approximately. Top recruiting companies like AIMS India, Insurance companies, and E&Y. Many more companies visit onboard for the opportunity of Jobs and internships. My immediate step after the degree of graduation is to have practical experience in the real world and work to gain that exposure and have my further studies post that.

Remarks:

I would say that my college is surely a good one its a really prestigious college and after living there for 3 years i get to know why it is that much prestigious. But if there is positive sides there are negative sides as well. College should have to take care of the infrastructure of the college which is quite poor and old too.
