Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is based on the renowned books of science like microbiology from prescott and biochemistry from Satyanarayana which are absolutely great books. The curriculum is based more on application rather than theoretical knowledge as to help students. The exams are greatly timed and the exams are divided in 2 parts making it easier to handle.

Internships Opportunities

4

I haven't done any internship yet but from the seniors that I have heard there is basically a stipend provided but it totally depends on the company and your merit and there are many possibilities that one can work on significant projects.

Placement Experience

4

The college does provide placements and internships maybe starts from the 4th semester itself and help students for gaining experience for future. The companies are various and the teachers help in choosing the best. My plan is to pursue masters after the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees is 9000 for the complete year including 2 semesters. It includes all the fees like the registration, development, admission etc. The fees is this for now but may increase in future based on the decision of the administration. There is also a way for girls free ship which can reduce the fees amount or even cancel it for girls. There is also a way where one can even pay in installments based on discussion with the administration.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest is held in January by the name Ole. It's a great fest with involvement from various colleges in Mumbai. There are departmental fest held based on the departments. The library is a great place and my comfortable space where a range of books are found from fiction to textbooks. The facilities are also great. The sports background is awesome there is annual sports day also held to make students involve. There are clubs like nature club and Rotaract club.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel for boys and girls are divided and located at 2 different places. The facilities are nice with even a small kitchen the meals are freshly prepared and served on timely basis and the menu is vast. The registration is simple and very affordablem.

Admission

I applied to Jai hind and Sophia college from where I got confirmed admission but i chose this college due to the various courses available. I also applied to Xavier's College as well but i don't know as they accepted me or not. The admission process is really simple as it is based on cutoff where I got the admission from open category in the first merit list itself. There are no exams for bachelors but for masters. The overall experience was great and easy and went very smooth.

Faculty

5

I really respect the faculty as they are great teachers. Each and every teacher is a PhD with great knowledge. They help students to the best and solve their doubts on one on one basis. I really like Hina mam and Kailash sir from the chemistry faculty as they are great teachers and really make sure that their students understand and help them to the best of their knowledge.

Interview Experience

4

No there is no such thing and it based totally on the cut off and the percentage scored in the 12th examination. There are no worries as there are many list for students and the percentage cut off drops significantly.

Night Life

5

The location and locality is absolutely a bit as the beach is right across the college. There are many street food stalls and well known cafes around the college. The famous hangout space is the marine drive where you can walk from the beach. The locality is safe uptill morning means always safe people are out all night enjoying the sea.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

Many college campus placement plans are provided by our college. Companies like ICICI lombard, Motilal Oswal, Kotak Mahindra etc. And each year I have seen manu students get employed too. The packages are around 60k-1lpa. But few have also gotten 3lpa aa starting salary. I plan to do master in design after I complete this degree.

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell is responsible for the placement process. It is not very streamlined. Getting a job is considered tough, usually, the student has to search for it themselves. The average package offered is about 4 Lakhs which is okayish. Usually, students go for masters in Europe which is one of the best options. About 40 people apply for placements out of 180 students and out of that about 20-30 get placed.
