Course Curriculum Overview
The college itself has a reputation that pulls students inside. The curriculum as a media student is epic but its really hard to keep up if you can not stay consistent. It would be appreciated a lot if the college really considered morning lectures instead of mid morning till the late evening. we have semesters as per the NEP policy so twice a year and the difficulty level depends on how active you were in the classs.
Internships Opportunities
Our college has many internships that they give after every semester but since it's my first semester, I do not know About the outcomes and internships that are college gives as of now. As much as I've heard from our seniors, it is important to note that while placement rate is commendable, the college cannot give placements to all the students which makes it really difficult
Placement Experience
The college actively collaborate with various industries and organizations giving job fairs and recruitment drives that connect students with Potential employers, but only around 60 to 80% get placements from the college. As I am In the first year, the college hasn't disclosed specific salary figures for the position secured by graduates. This lack of information makes it challenging to access the financial outcomes of these placements comprehensively but our college a robust Placement rate showcasing its commitment to student success
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual amount you pay increases by two each year. For example, my FY fees is 32K so SY and TY will be 34k and 36k respectively. I am not certainly sure about the exact amount for management categories or minorities, but we have seats reserved for them
Campus Life
Our college has Various fests Fest throughout the year, both departmentally and the overall college as well. As a student of BMM department, Our departmental fest Is called Polaris ,you can look it up on Google as well. One of the many famous departmental fest is also hope where they have adopted A village and make sure the children get whatever is necessary for their education. Our college Has a really big library and Multiple genres of books Available for students to borrow and read. A college has many sports activities all in different months, which helps us to stay fresh and entertains our college life. Our college has many clubs, groups, and NGOs Which really helps in personality building in my opinion, and I would suggest all of y'all should participate in at least one
Admission
I was in Wilson College from 11 standard and I love the atmosphere so much over there. I never wanted to start Making friends All over again. Which is why I stayed in Wilson College for my degree as well of course because I was an in-house student. I got somewhat first preference. I was so confident That I would get in Wilson College I never applied anywhere else. The admission process of my college is really slow, but they get your work done on the first time itself by a Mail or a SMS. I had to go to college only once to get my documentation and verification done. If you are a minority or any other special Category which has seats reserved. Your cut off percentage Is comparatively less than those who are in the open category. There is no entrance exam for the students of Wilson College.
Faculty
The faculty of the BMM department is good, few teachers are good and know what they are doing while some only teach the syllabus. They make us understand the concept, but only a few know how to make the train of thought to work. the BA faculty is really helpful in many aspects of the student council and our really humble and welcoming to those who are new. The exams in our college is easy only if you attend the class and our regular. Since Wilson College is an autonomous College, the exam papers are set by the department itself, so if you are regular and attend your lectures with sincerity, the papers will be really easy. Around 5 to 10% of the students fail so they do have an additional exam and the last chance to prove that they are worthy of being in Wilson.
