  • Political environment is very much . I don't dislike it but as I am not interested in college politics so it will not that much good for students who are not interested in politics. But this is everywhere.
  • You will get hostel after 3 or 4 months but before that you will get dormitory room you have to adjust with 3 or 4 people but in my opinion it will also help you to make connections with your batchmates or friends

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I am in language course. We learn it from the basics as we learn English or other language in our childhood. Professors teach with expressions. They not use english in very much quantity to teach german . They directly teach german from basic as to child. We also get opportunity to meet with peolple from embassy or people from Germany itself. We get chances to visit embassy of the language we are learning and also there are lectures and speaks of people from Germany and authors from Germany..

Internships Opportunities :

There is not specific placement cell in JNU but if you are good in your language you are studying you can get job in private companies if you apply in them. Also you can get job in embassies or you can work as freelancer and translators. You can translate the transcripts.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Year wise I have to pay 648 rupees and if I get MCM scholarship I can get 2000 rupees per month and you can pay that much fee without any problem. I found increasing fee in some other areas but not in academics specifically. Registration fee for hostel is 6015 rupees which you will get after your year or Semester ends. The major scholarship available for students is MCM which students having family income less than 2.15 lakh can get . It also depends upon your category. But if you get you can have 2000 rupees per month. Mess charges are average 3500 and extra if you took extra meal. It is for 3 times meal a day.

Campus Life :

At first I hesitate to meet people and talk to them. But after 15 16 days I made huge friend circle and this helped to to overcome my hesitation. I spent 2 months here in JNU and I have some of the best experience of my journey. There are many places in this college to explore. Like me and my friend group of 8 people went to explore a cave in this campus . That cave is in dark jungle and way is to narrow from bushes itself. We went at 11 pm and some how we reached to cave spent some time but at returning to hostel we lost our way. So we had to spent our whole night till 7 am there and we had to cross bushes to 3 feets to reach our hostel. That was horrible but rememberable experience of my life . So there is no way you will bored in this college.

Hostel Facilities :

There are separate lockers seperate beds and separate tables also. Talking to meals you will get 3 times a day and quality is good as found in any hostel or pg in india. Registration process will go smooth as seniors will help you at every stage. You will get interaction with good amount of people in your dormitory at starting and after you get hostel you can meet them at dhabas and there are many places in campus to hangout or discussion.

Admission :

I applied for BHU for economics course and political science course but I give priority to admission in JNU as it is one of the best university of India and in this college you will experience people from different area and different status. You can enhance your aoverall personality which will help you to stand where ever you want with the skills and your personality. I cleared cutoff for both BHU and JNU but I choose JNU.

Faculty :

Professors are very very qualified and you will also get classes from assistant professors which are very much cooperative and classes held 3 to 4 hours of main course. After that you will get very much time for your self study. But somedays you will get classes of your optionals which are introduced in this year itself in NEP. exams are held 3 times in one semester first two are sessionals . One will counted in which you get more and one end term. Both 50 50 marks add to 100 .

Night Life :

There is central library where you can go any time it is open 24/7 and there are also study rooms in almost each hostel itself where you can go any time. Hostels are open all time and talking to shops they get close at 11 pm but you can go to ganga hostel which almost opens whole time. You can avail any book from library in free. There are very much hangout places like PSR rock it is the rock at height from where you acn get very beautiful view at night. Talking to safety . The campus is very much safe, girls can go out any time. Infact it is said JNU never sleeps.

Other Applied Colleges

Banaras Hindu University - [BHU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

I found JNU as very good in terms of foreign languages and it also opens more opportunities than BHU economics course.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts from the fifth semester, that is from the last year of the course. Different companies like Delloite, IBM, etc visits for placement opportunities and as far as I knew, the lowest CTC in the year 2022 was around 6lakhs per annum. I did my post-graduation later on so I never went through the placement process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good. Real-world experiences are also provided. Practicals and experiments are conducted. Although teaching methods can be significantly improved by the college faculty. The faculty is very rude

In RLAC there is a placement cell which work for providing placements . Every year many companies ( big/ small) come and choose the liable students for their companies. Looking back into not many MNLC s have approached to college but yes by looking at the stats it can't be said that MNlCs don't approach.
