Course Curriculum Overview :

Students are exposed to labs from the first year of college which gives us hands on experience to conduct experience and develop scientific rigor. Exam season turns out to be hectic for some depending on the courses of individuals. There are some courses which are hard to score.

Internships Opportunities :

The student development council updates students for various internship opportunities and scholarship programs. There are communities which update us with internship portals. There are also orientation sessions being conducted for the same. The outcome of departmental meeting also help students to navigate through various opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid :

For General category students Per semester- Tution fee (for students admitted before year 2024): 33400 Tution fee (for students admitted from year 2024 onwards): 36700 User charges: 9700 Hostel and dining fee: 6700 Total- For students admitted before 2024: 49800 For students admitted from 2024 onwards: 53100 ( Additional 15000 one time fee is charged only for the first semester at the time of admission) Per year (2 semesters) ( Tution fee is waived for Sc/St students)

Campus Life :

We have an excellent library having extensive collection of books. Plus there is an online library to navigate through different books. Every year sports fest tech fest cultural fest science fest are being conducted and various festivals are also celebrated in campus. Frequent jamming and open mic sessions are also conducted by various club societies of college.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel are inside the campus provided by college, there is a seperate hostel for 1st year students. Rooms provided to students are decent having two tables a lamp almirah two wooden shelf chair (but it may vary for different hostels). Mess food is decent but it also varies for different messes. College faculties and student volunteers help in the registration process for freshers.

Admission :

I got admitted through IAT entrance exam. At my time of admission some students were also admitted through JEE advanced. JEE advanced admissions got discontinued for now but there is some possibility of it getting continued. Teaching faculty is far better than any other state college and is comparable to various IITs.

Faculty :

Faculties are very approachable. Problem solving sessions (tutorials) are often organised. Some courses are rigorous and hard to score. But the good part is often the grading system is relative. Education background of faculties is definitely up to the mark.

Night Life :

We have a nice cafeteria, great library. Gym and sports facilities are also available in campus. There are no restrictions for late night campus entries for students. Previously there was also night mess which has now been discontinued.

Placement Experience:

For BS-Economics students, institute provides placement oppurtunities. Median package for BS-ECO students for UG-4 years if 17.5 lacs per annum. But only a handful of 10-15 students are able to grab campus-placement oppurtunites and rest all prepare for other competitive exams or go for off-campus placements. The highest package offered for this degree is 34 lacs per annum . companies like delloite, nomura, barclays etc. come to this institute for placements.

Placement Experience:

From 8th semester onwards student can become eligible for the placements. Mostly students here opt for USD in foreign universities rather than sitting for placements and going to corporate sector. Hence placement scenario is not that great. Steel companies like Barclays numura Bank and Dr. Reddy's lab usually recruit students. The highest package last year was 31 lakhs per my plan is to pursue higher education after the degree

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that great because of being a research institute. Mostly companies don't visit again to the campus because most of the students don't sit for placement and go for higher studies in foreign universities. Still companies like Nomura Bank, Barclays , Dr Reddy's lab have visited in recent years. The average package was around 15 LPA because of less number of student sitting for placements.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester onwards peoplee can opt for placements and hence not choosing to do Ms thesis at IISER . The companies that visit are mainly Nomura bank, Barclays , Sr. Reddy's Lab and Many other Quant Firms. The average salary is as high as 20 LPA due to lesser number of student sitting for placements. My plans after the degree is to get placed in a good company.

Placement Experience:

Since IISER Bhopal is a research based institute, the placements here are not judged as in aspect of job placements after bachelor's degree, rather people here generally go for higher studies. But regardless the knowledge and experience gained here by people help them apply for any organisation off campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core research-based curriculum made me opt for this course. The flexibility of choosing 3 out of 6 subjects in second year is perhaps one of the best part of this course. The teaching methods employed are excellent and the design of the course is well structured

Course Curriculum Overview:

The books used in the course material are of international level. The curriculum prepares a student so practically for academic career and gives exposure to research experiences. The total number of exams are 4-6 in whole semester and the end semester exam paper is mostly difficult amongst them all .
