  • I dont like party culture ,alcohol and stuff like that .Since manipal has a lot of pubs .One must not go near student plaza cuz on weekends people make it dirty by puking and stuff .I once had a lot of problem so thats what i disliked
  • Stuff is expensive here and sometimes some places ,night canteens sell stuff above mrp which is expensive but cant really help.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was passionated about robotics since childhood .So the course structure overall aligns with my Goals hence i chose this course .It prepares really well for outside world as companies have tie ups with college so the necessary resources are provided. Areas where this could be improved is more and more resources and tie ups should be made to bridge the gap between the progressing technology . The Exam timing is fine but papers are tough as it follows blooms taxonomy so I have study more inorder to pass as the problems are very tricky.According to me maintaining GPA above 7.5 is easy but going above 8.5 is difficult as its very competitive.

Fees and Financial Aid :

1st Year = 325000 This is the tution fees Caution Deposit = 10000 This is paid to the college at the start when you select your branch in order to allot a seat 2nd Year = 431000 This is 2nd year fees which i paid 3rd year = 430000 this is the third year fees which i paid 4th year = 430000 (may vary a bit) This would be same or vary a bit this i will be paying next year

Campus Life :

Overall Campus life is fun .Best times are the concerts of Revels(Annual Fest) and Competitions of TechTatva(Techical Fest) these are held in months March and October respectively. You can celebrate your important events in clubs and enjoy your surroundings like beaches and temples .Its serene environment is worth the visit .Studying in library is fun as MIT Library has all types of books its a huge range .The facilities and technological provisions are top notch .They havent compromised on that. Sports and extracurricular activities are on another level. There are special sports clubs or teams which are the governing body of Manipal . Every student needs is digitalized for example dotfood ,campus taxi, changepay ,Apps like marketplace ,Cabshare and Allmighty .Their are official Student Projects and Student Clubs in MIT .One can read about all the clubs in the MIT manipal official site .Overall my journey has been fun.from being an average transitioning to a passionate and lifelong learner makes me cherish these memories as all of it will be worth in the end

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel Facility is actually good So my hostel is basically a flat .We have double sharing room ,there are single sharing as well which included AC and Non AC and in first year you are alloted but as the year increases their is cgpa criteria to stay in hostels .Hostel cleaner come weekly and we have laundry services in every floor and night canteen in the ground floor Registration is done in hostels.manipal.edu and the prices depends on the room type single rooms are expensive around 1.5L but double sharing is around 122000 .

Admission :

I chose MIT Manipal because I knew i wanted Mechatronics so i compared the Labs and the course quality suitable to for my interests. Better Colleges for Mechatronics were NIT Warangal and IITs including Madras , Roorkie and Guwahati. As they have more opportunities in the field .Realistically Speaking during lockdown period I did not study well for IIT JEE so never really prepared well for these entrances due to lack of knowledge. So after that I looked into VJTI ,BITs,COEP,NMIMS and Other private colleges .So then Comparing these colleges with my branch MIT was better .Because of the Labs as they have a special building just for robotics. I got rejected by VJTI and COEP as my CET score was not up to the mark so i was not getting the course i wanted. I was getting Mechanical in BITs Pilani but that would be a long walk to specialize seperately in robotics so Chose MIT instead The Admission process is simple .You give MET exam you get your score their itself.I got 14599 as my rank so rank wise their is cutoff for branches .So, likely Mechatronics cutoff was 15k so i got my desired course. Then we pay 10000rs as the locking fees and we get allotment .Then we further go to the campus and submit documents and stuff and then pay the FY tution fees and get temporary id cards and thats the admission process. If you opt to change the college those 10k will be refunded

Faculty :

It has good faculty ratio .Around 645 to 10000 students .If you are a sincere student who follows the professor you will easily pass the subjects and they are very much approachable too. I personally liked all my faculty members but here are some favourites Dr Ishwar Bhiradi as he is my faculty advisor for my student team and club and he taught me manufacturing technology and also Dr Raghavendra Rao He taught me Control Systems and Power Electronics .He has a lot of experience in his field . Their arent any faculties whom i dont like as such but one must not create bad impressions sometimes leading to less marks. There are 6 subjects and 2 Labs per sem .It may vary according to the branch .First year difficult subjects are Basic Electronics ,Engineering Maths 2,Basic Electrical Technology and Problem Solving using Computers where people fail to clear .Even i found them difficult but passed them altough grades where low .So to pass these subjects make good notes but the paper difficulty is high as notes arent sufficient .high practise and understanding is required

Night Life :

my favourite spots are mit library venugopal templeFC2 Robomanipal workshop and MIT ground to fly drones I live in Block Fourteen So manipal has hostels named Blocks there are twenty two as of now they might build more Hostel in timings are eleven thirty for seniors and 10:30 pm for freshers and gate closing times are are the same Famous cafes are near SP and Kamath Cafe and Sindhi Mess are the best inside the campus Outside Campus there is Canara mall and hotels like Pai Tiffins Shanti Sagar for good South Indian foods and others as well for self exploration Usually it is safe to roam at night although every student has to follow the perm timings so they need to be in the hostel during their pertained time slots.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The cybersecurity curriculum in Dsu is designed to provide both theoretical foundations and practical experience in key areas such has security, linus and other related topics . With labs and workshops we get hands on experience on real world problems which help us during placement and internship . The faculty and the curriculum are up to date and help us learn the tools which are currently needed. Cybersecurity isn't just about IT it's also related to law(cybercrime laws),business(risk management) so introducing courses related to them can help students In cybersecurity certification is important so helping students to prepare for certification such has cissp, CompTIA and others can help students a lot Coming to the exams it's not that stressful we will have a month or two to prepare and me personally think 1 week is enough to clear it

Placement Experience:

The placements at presidency university offers is average, the placements percentage is high but the packages are low, the highest was around 13L per Annum and average of around 3L per annum. Students are eligible for placements in third year, while having many opportunities for internships during the period of 4 years. There are various companies that visit our college for placements such as shell, tech Mahindra, dell, capgemini, and many more companies. My plan after degree is get a high paying job either through placements or self searched interviews

Placement of this college is decent. If students give thier maximum they will get it and the good part is, the college pushes us for placements and introduces many more things for good placements like placement programs. If they failed to give us campus placement, it is quite tough to get off campus placemnt because of the competiton.
