Course Curriculum Overview :

The college curriculum is proper blend of theoretical and practical knowledge with strong emphasis on internships and hackathons and various commpetitions to practice. Each semester the students are required to submit a project for evaluation which is made is under the supervision of Supervisior assigned by the university. A student can approach other faculties for their project related queries if needed. Carrer preparation, placment policy and skill-building activities can be better.

Placement Experience :

Some students can get start getting internships offers from 5th semester and most of the students can get starts getting offers since the end og 6th semester. There almost more than 910+ companies that visit the campus with various offers which can be from new Startups to MNCs. Highest package offered was around 2 crore pa and the least being 5 lpa and average being 10-12 lpa. 70-80% students can get placed from the TPP(training and placement program) provided by the college by the end of 8th semester. I plan to get a job as a java developer at first proceed towards a carrier in cybersecurity.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The semester fees for all semesters is same throughout the whole course for a student. For me, the fees for semester was and is 90,000 rs. for all the semesters(including the tution fees) and Exam fees is 2500 rs. every semester. The semester-wise fees was 92,500 for every semester for students of BE-CSE of 2021 Batch which has increased for new batch students. One has to pay 5000 rs.or 10,000 rs. at the time admission for seat booking which is later deducted from the fees of the first semester. Hostel fees varies from 1,06,800 rs. to 2,10,000 rs. per annum which depends upon the number of beds in a room and ac facility taken. Scholarships are also obtained on various basis like 12th marksheet, sports, CUCET and so on. Scholarships are given a on a percentage off of semester fees basis, which will be applied per semester if a student has atleast 75% attendance, no detention, not to fail in any subject and other criterias. If any one of the criterias is not met then from the next odd sem, scholarship is removed for a student.

Campus Life :

There many events taking placing in college every day in various departments throughout the years from literature to hackathons to competitions in various categories. The Library is available online and offline mode and contains a large amount and variety of books for each category and has many categories to read from. The labs have almost new hardware and software and most being in updation. The many sports and extracurricular activities from inter department to inter-college competitions in the college. There are many clubs in college for various topics and one can form a new club within college with a required number of students and permission from the college authorities.

Admission :

I choose this college for its environment and the scholarship provided to students for their semster fees. I did apply for other college but the admission season was over seats weren't available at many colleges with great reputation but at this current college seats were available and scholarships were offered and other facilities were amazing. For one to apply for admission, one can simply visit the the CUIMS website and fill the admission enquiry form or chat/call with admission team through the contact details on the website or simply visit the college campus and go to A1 block.

Faculty :

There are usually 40 students per mentor in a section and there are 2 sections in each class. The relationships between the faculties and the student is quite good, as the faculties are quite approachable for any questions of a students. There several coordinators for each department for students to approach for their problems and questions. There total 3 assignments, 3 suprise tests, 3 quizes, 2 monthly semester test(MST), 1 mst practicaal, 1 end sem exam and 1 final practical exam for a subject. The difficulty of exam uaually is inbetween easy to medium for all the exams. The questions are usually based on basic conecpts of the subject.

Night Life :

The hostels are open till 10pm for boys and 7-8 pm for girls. Day leaves are provided to hostel students with permission of their parents and warden. The shops in college are open till 10 pm mostly and other facilties close down till 10pm except for library and medical office. Famous places to hangout are gardens, fountains and playground and the sheds in pathways along with canteen and food cout.

MBA students have 2 internships, one being chemical core internship, which is done after 3 year for 2 months which is not shifted to last semester of 4th year for 6 months. Apart from this, there is a 2 month internship for MBA part. Earlier it was 2 months but now it is, also 6 months in the last semester. MBA students gets their internships done, both paid and unpaid included. But for placements, that story is not so good.

The placements are just average. Companies come everyday or everyweek. Placement drive keeps running all time. Packages above 10 LPA have very very high competition. Courses have everything to crack a good package off campus. But students aren't studious they don't know anything they just blame the university

Here the average package is 8lpa. Students start to get placements in their 5th semester. Microsoft, accenture, infosis, ibm etc are the companies which often visits for placement. University also guides the student for higher studies such as MBA and mtech etc. It provides guidance through dcpd, a department of career planning in our college

For campus placement students can involve in 7th semester also many students got their PPOs in 6th semester as well. There are many reputed companies visited in PEC like Apple, Microsoft,Adobe,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Amazon etc.Highest package this year was around 58LPA on-campus while average of all branch turns into around 14.33LPA.Overall more than 50 percent students got placed in all batch while around 80 percent placed in CSE due to recession. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree or during my 4th year.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college are quite good for my branch ( CSE ) but the mechanical and civil placement rate is very low only a few students sit for placement and are placed. Approx 80% of students placed in CSE, 70% in ECE, and 40% and 20% in mechanical and civil respectively. My plan is to go for a master's whether in india or abroad along with a part-time job.
