Course Curriculum Overview :

The chemical engineering part was bit old but now for recent years it has been updates and makes all possible amendments in it to teach current technologies to the students. The MBA part is not upto the mark and it is still following the old curriculum. You have to make your own efforts to make something productive from it and it will be only possible when you put own efforts. You need to make sure you learn skills from other sources to be in market.

Internships Opportunities :

The companies are not too good. Internship are like to done just because they are supposed to be done for the program. Consulting companies like Acclime and Grab are only good companies here which brings future rest there is nothing good in the campus.

Placement Experience :

MBA students have 2 internships, one being chemical core internship, which is done after 3 year for 2 months which is not shifted to last semester of 4th year for 6 months. Apart from this, there is a 2 month internship for MBA part. Earlier it was 2 months but now it is, also 6 months in the last semester. MBA students gets their internships done, both paid and unpaid included. But for placements, that story is not so good.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For MBA program the fees is around 135000 per year. There are 2 installments for the yearly. One being of roughly 67000 and other will be around 50000. Apart from this, there is exam fees which is about 3000 per semester, which makes roughly 6000 per year. For scholarships part, there is roughly 10000 fees for students under EWS quota. Apart from this, there are scholarships like merit base and program scholarship.

Campus Life :

There are plenty of fests within the campus, as it's a university every department have their own fests. Also, there are 4 fests by the elected students bodies. Then there is a fest organised by the department with the name Cyanide. It's not so good not so bad, it's only ok ok which is only manageable.

Hostel Facilities :

Boys have total 8 hostels, 7 in north campus and 1 in south campus. Hostel 1 to 5 are old buildings, 6 and 7 are mid aged and 8 is new. Hostel have mess which serves lunch and dinner only. There is a canteen for lunch and evening snacks. Rooms are shared by 2 students. There is a monthly fees of 5120 per semester then there is 910 security for mess. The quality for food is not so good but eatable. Menu have majorly pulse or beans in the menu.

Admission :

This college is only good for nothing, you will only waste your time being here, please find other colleges. Even private colleges are able to place at better companies but there are no good companies here. Please think for a better college for engineering and even good college for MBA program. This campus brings nothing in your table. Only good thing here is alumni network you will get here.

Faculty :

In MBA program, there are roughly 30 students per class and there are total 2 full time and 3 guest facilities. Apart from this, there are other professors for the Chemical engineering part. The teaching part from these professors is not upto the mark, as there is lack of interest from both the ends as required in MBA program. The program is good, but it's execution part is not at its place for a proper MBA program. This program have a lot of scope but the execution of it is very important.

Night Life :

Chandigarh is not so good for their night life, but university is still have a life in night. You will find couples, drunked drivers and people heading back to their hostel from library. Sector 15 or 15 ki market is a go to place for some food and all. University have 3 gates and 2 remain open 24x7. Also, hostels both boys and girls are open 24x7. No one can question anything while leaving hostel any time of the day.

The placements are just average. Companies come everyday or everyweek. Placement drive keeps running all time. Packages above 10 LPA have very very high competition. Courses have everything to crack a good package off campus. But students aren't studious they don't know anything they just blame the university

Here the average package is 8lpa. Students start to get placements in their 5th semester. Microsoft, accenture, infosis, ibm etc are the companies which often visits for placement. University also guides the student for higher studies such as MBA and mtech etc. It provides guidance through dcpd, a department of career planning in our college

Some students can get start getting internships offers from 5th semester and most of the students can get starts getting offers since the end og 6th semester. There almost more than 910+ companies that visit the campus with various offers which can be from new Startups to MNCs. Highest package offered was around 2 crore pa and the least being 5 lpa and average being 10-12 lpa. 70-80% students can get placed from the TPP(training and placement program) provided by the college by the end of 8th semester. I plan to get a job as a java developer at first proceed towards a carrier in cybersecurity.

For campus placement students can involve in 7th semester also many students got their PPOs in 6th semester as well. There are many reputed companies visited in PEC like Apple, Microsoft,Adobe,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Amazon etc.Highest package this year was around 58LPA on-campus while average of all branch turns into around 14.33LPA.Overall more than 50 percent students got placed in all batch while around 80 percent placed in CSE due to recession. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree or during my 4th year.

The placements in our college are quite good for my branch ( CSE ) but the mechanical and civil placement rate is very low only a few students sit for placement and are placed. Approx 80% of students placed in CSE, 70% in ECE, and 40% and 20% in mechanical and civil respectively. My plan is to go for a master's whether in india or abroad along with a part-time job.
