Kasturba college

There are overall 7 subjects in my course. The core subjects are Basic pattern making, fibre and yarn science, sewing techniques and basic design concept. There's no problem in any of them, all of the subjects are great. The extra subjects are English communication, environmental studies and computer applications. If I could say I have any problem with any of these subjects, I'd say it would be computer application because there are no computers in the college for us to practice on.

The yearly for my college is 25k per semester but if you're just getting admission in it, the 1st semester fees cost 33k including the admission fees and etc. If you want a scholarship, your earning parent salary must be 3 lakhs or less per annum.

Since this is my first year, I don't really know how many events they organize in a year but since I joined, there has been only one event and it wasn't any special, there were some competition and a dj. The worst part is they played the dj for only 2 hours. There wasn't much food provided either. You access books and journals in the library easily. There are no computers in the college, if you want to use it, bring your own. Other then that, they have almost everything, sewing machine, fabric making machine and etc. There are no clubs or socities in the college and if you want to participate in sports or extracurricular activities, you'll have to join ncc.

Okay so originally I planned to go to NIFT but on the day of my entrance exam, a practical of my school subject happened and I had to miss it. This college was my last option because private college's fees is too high. For the admission you just need to submit your 12th marks and nothing else. Later on, they will release a merit list and if you make it in the list, they'll call you for document verification in one of their college. After the verification is done, you get a payment link and you just pay the fees and you're in.

The faculty members are rude, only one or two of them will talk nicely to you. They treat others like they're the one paying fees and not us. There are overall 2 semesters in one year. In every semester, there are two exams, mid semester and end semester. The faculty members i don't like are Mr. Sanjay, Mr. Vijay and the members i liked are Mr. Akhilesh.

No I didn't face any group discussion, interview or written test for the admission. They just told me to submit my 12th marks and be physically present for the document verification. On the document verification, you just have to bring your documents like 12th, 10th certificate

There's nothing around the college except a mall. There's one hostel in the college. If you want to eat something there are only 1 or 2 stalls around you or else you'll have to go to mall to eat. The college is in the middle of nowhere, to be honest
