Course Curriculum Overview :
I am a Law student and the course provided by the University is very extensive and in accordance to the Top universities. The university provides courses as according to thier standards and requirements and how much an academic influence the course can have for their further education. One can choose any future section of the curriculum as according to what is thought during the initial years.
Internships Opportunities :
The college provides internships after every year. Usually the internships are unpaid internships however they provide knowledge of the field the college chooses for us. The internships are usually NGO based and selected by the university for us however students have the choice to apply for internships by themselves
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
My original Fee is of 1,30,000 with 65,000 per semester. However with scholarship from my 12th grade percentage my fees is reduced to 48,000 per semester ans this includes scholarship from my CGPA I got from each semester. Personally I do not have an reservation and am not a domicile of Uttrakhand
Campus Life :
The college does not have a lot of events however, there are a number of clubs and Cells the students could join as according to their interests. There are few cultural events and Freshers and Farewell parties. I personally was a member of the Moot court committee and was part of the organisation committee for the National Moot court competition held in our college. Currently I am part of the Centre of Research For Criminal Law Cell. Our college holds many number of Competitions like the Moot court Competitions and Trial and Advocacy, Negotiations Competitions and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
Thought there might not be an in campus Hostel system there are many hostels near by the college are affiliated with our college. My particular hostel is a little further away from college campus however the hostel provides transportation facilities at any time during the day. The food in the hostel is particularly good and hygienic . The menu is varied according to the days. My hostel provides breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner. It also has a pantry where students can cook for themselves if they like to. The years fees for my hostel is 1,00,000 which can either be paid in full or can be divided into 35,000 , 35,000 and 30,000.
Admission :
I had been placed in NALSAR university, Hyderabad however the fees structure was too high. I also was accepted into the University of Edinburgh, Scotland however as an NRI who has evening living in Dubai, UAE for over 12 years I personally wanted to experience India and its culture. I choose ICFAI University, Dehradun because of its fee structure. The fee structure really helps me with saving up my money for my masters degree that I would like to do from a foreign country. I am an working student who earns a salary of 25,000 per month working for my brother under his startup and would like to save up enough for a masters degree in law from a foreign university. Along with the fee structure, the admission process of this university is also comparatively very simple. The process includes filling the admission form, an personal Interview via Zoom or phone call and lastly registration to course. This was particularly helpful as after a daunting time preparing for The CLAT examination and registration to NLU Hyderabad and having spend 6 months in the college, this particular college registration process was much easier and helpful.
Faculty :
The faculty in the college are extremely knowledgeable and supportive and experienced. All their lectures are very informative and interactive. I personally enjoy the lectures of Constitutional Law and BNS. I do not not like any faculty member as I enjoy each one of their lectures. As a 2nd year student, we have 4 different exams for 7 different subjects which includes a 10 marks Pre-Mids, 30 marks Mid semesters, 10 marks Post mids and 50 marks End semester and this is for all the semesters. The exams are of a moderate level and can be easy or difficulty according to how much one studies for the subject
Interview Experience :
After I filled my admission details, I was personally interviewed through a Phone call from a experienced faculty in the college. The interview was quite brief and straightforward yet it was very detailed and it gave me a an idea of how the college was to be
